“Beautiful cabin up away from all the tourists!”

Reviewed 1 Aug 2016

This place was perfect! The directions to the place were excellent but it is quite a drive up and around the hill to get to it! My teenage son and his friend took over the basement with their video games and the adults enjoyed the deck and hot tub and the view from the living room. It was so nice to have a kitchen and grill when we wanted to cook at home and it really had everything we needed. There were more than plenty big fluffy towels in both bathrooms. The only thing it lacked was extra toilet paper! One roll in each bathroom for a week is stretching it! The location, halfway between Gatlinburg and pigeon forge, was convenient. But be forewarned, traffic is terrible, take your patience! There were notes in the house diary of others seeing bears near the cabin, but we did not. It was very peaceful and we rarely saw any of our neighbors in the other cabins nearby. We had such a great experience here, we would definitely come back, just not during peak tourist season!

“A wonderful experience”

We booked online, and communication was always very fast. The paperwork was clear and concise. Everything happened just as promised. Directions to the cabin were very good and our GPS (surprisingly) took us to the front door, but we do concur with the recommendation of a paper map. We had no trouble getting into the cabin. We found the temperature very comfortable, plenty of cookware, good appliances, a nice supply of towels, nice bedding, and comfortable furniture. We spent quite a while looking around at the tasteful decorum. Also, the cabin is much larger than it seems. The downstairs bedrooms were great, each with nice televisions. The theater room was awesome. Instructions were provided for the devices, and everything worked without issue. The upstairs bedroom was very comfortable, and we admired the beautiful and colorful pictures that lined the stairway. The living room was well decorated with comfortable furniture. We enjoyed the warm glow of the lighting against the wood walls. We also enjoyed the view through the massive windows. We expected the cabin to be cool, but the Hvac performed much better than mine at my own house and kept us cozy. The hot tub was great in the evening with the remarkable view of the sky. The covered deck makes it easy to forget that there are other cabins in close proximity. Other than the occasional car door closing, we would easily have imagined no one around for miles. The location was ideal as we were able to enjoy a number of restaurants in both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Both are just a few minutes away. The high speed internet with WiFi was a huge benefit for finding restaurants and sending pictures to make our friends jealous. Note that once you leave the main road, the climb to the cabin could be a little unnerving. It is a tight mountain road as should be expected. It is well paved, however. This was our first cabin rental experience, and we are already planning another through Smoky Mountain Chalet Rentals.
