“Quaint and cosy!”
Our stay at Bryn y gof cottage was delightful. A little difficult to find, but thanks to our host's directions we got there safely. The surrounding countryside and walks were a delight to us, visiting from australia! There was a generous supply of fire wood for our use which made for a wonderfully cosy open fire each evening. All the utensils etc that we needed were on hand. We found the cottage a very comfortable place to spend a few days and the surrounding areas very interesting to explore. The stairs going up to the bedroom were not for the feint hearted, but luckily we are agile enough to cope with them :)
“Wonderfully cosy romantic cottage”
We stayed here the last week of Oct 2013 and were looking for peace, quiet and relaxation. Bryn Y Gof and the area fulfilled this. The cottage is very comfortable with the log burner and bath a real treat. We ate well at restaurants in the area and found wonderful cliff walks. Norma and James are delightful and have renovated the cottage wonderfully leaving all its character intact. They supplied us with logs for the wood burner which was lovely to relax in front of with a glass of wine. Really recommended and we would live to return. Philip and Heather
“Everything was magical!”
My husband and I stayed for one week and it was *the* most relaxing, romantic and beautiful week we've spent together away from the stress of modern life and most of all the general public
This is an absolutely great place to stay, and we would definitely go back. Loved how cosy it was, the fire really made it on the wet soggy days we had, and the area is absolutely stunning. Excellent hosts as well, easy to book and full of useful information. Thanks for a great holiday.
“Fantastic cosy cottage, full of character and charm.”
This cottage really was the icing on the cake for a lovely weekend on the beautiful Ceredigion Coast. The cottage was cosy, very clean and full of character with lots of thought obviously having gone into the decoration and furnishings. The bath in the bedroom is a lovely extra and luxury! Norma was a great 'hostess' - very welcoming, informative and helpful. The cottage was full of great information and maps. The location was great, walks to the coast can be taken from the cottage through beautiful woodland. The 3 days we had there were not enough, will have to go back! Lovely to watch seals and dolphins from either the coastline or harbour in nearby New Quay. Quite fell in love with the whole place and cottage!
This is quite simply a lovely cottage in a beautiful part of the country! We'd stayed in other Dolphin Bay properties in the area previously so we knew we wouldn't be disappointed, but even so this cottage exceeded our expectations. It's a wonderful cosy place with excellent facilities, a comfy bed and a very well designed kitchen area that despite being small doesn't feel at all cramped to cook in. Local beaches, towns etc. are only a short drive away, or there are some lovely walks to be had simply by putting on your boots and walking out of the door. One word of warning - if your mobility is impaired it may not be suitable for you as the stairs to the bedroom are fairly steep. Overall, it's a wonderful place to stay - we're already plotting our return!
“Lovely, Quirky, Unique, Cosy Stone Cottage”
The cottage was just perfect for us. We were fortunate to meet Norma who made us feel very welcome. The cottage was very clean considering all the antiques in it. We found every modern convenience that we needed. We stayed in July when it was very hot and sunny so we did not get to light either of the fires. I booked it with the intention of having a bath in front of a roaring fire (knowing the awful summers that we have had) The bath was unique and lovely. The bathroom is large with a good shower. The cottage has a quirky staircase. We spent most of our time in the garden due to the hot weather, every thing you need provided. Sun loungers, table, chairs, a bench and a BBQ. There is large meadow to roam around at the back of the cottage. The cottage is very remote but only five minutes from the a road. There is a lovely pub one mile away that does evening meals. We absolutely loved our stay. Thank you.
“a peaceful and romantic rural escape for 2”
a lovely rustic quaint cottage. all amenities were excellent, the bath was my favourite. it's in a peaceful location but within easy reach of the coast, lovely walks and local towns. cool evenings can be spent around the cosy logburner and sunny days on the patio backing onto open fields. a truly great escape.
“Best bath in the world!!”
We have actually stayed three times, the first time in Jan 2011 and then returned in 2012 and then again in Jan 2013 with the in laws as we love it that much. The decor is so beautiful, quirky and thoughtful with a vintage charm. The place is so cosy, just away from the maddening crowds yet you can just nip out places in your car or get your walking boots on and really enjoy the beautiful scenery. We have eaten out a fair bit whilst there, some good local restaurants. Norma's eggs are good value and tasty so just ask her to pop some aside for you. The bath is spectacular, fab to chill in after a chilly walk whilst the log fire is roaring with a cold glass of something in your hand. Can't wait to return in Jan 2014, already booked in!!
