Upon walking into condo unit, there was a urine smell. Later turned more pungent, like we were staying in a septic tank. We detected it was coming from pipes. Light switches on the wall in bedrooms did not turn on anything. No ceiling light or fan. Had to stumble in dark to turn on lamp by the bed. All beds squeaked and were sunk in the middle. Not a pleasant sleep. Found trash underneath bed. Countertops in kitchen were sticky. Sink in last bathroom would not drain properly b/c of the stopper, which was different from the other bathrooms. Light bulbs in middle bathroom were different types, made place look tacky and not up to par. Not only will I not stay in this condo unit ever again, but will never stay at Shores of Panama again. Must leave I.D. with security to borrow a cart to get luggage to room. Parking Deck clearance is 6'8", would have been nice to know beforehand. Hard to get in and out of parking deck. Aisles very narrow, so you have to wait on oncoming traffic to clear before you could turn to make it to the next level. No reserved parking spaces for unit 501. Even checked with security, in case we missed it. Good luck finding a space that is not reserved. Must pay condo resort for amenities, like pool and use of beach access, not covered in price of unit. In order to get into pool area from resort or beach, have to wear wrist band with a barcode. System didn't always read the barcode. So, you hope someone will let you in. My parents' wristbands wouldn't work one morning coming back from beach and they tried to get a couple of employees to let them in, and the EMPLOYEES IGNORED THEM. Staff was VERY RUDE. Elevators were FILTHY. The whole condo resort was NASTY. The area between the building and the beach was covered in trash (plunger, broken chairs, paper). DISGUSTING. They don't clean the pool on a daily basis. People left their trash, chairs, bottles, can, etc. on the beach. The condo resort didn't have anyone go out there and tidy up that area of the beach in front of the resort. TRASHY. Two yrs. ago, my family and I stayed at Tidewater (west of Pier Park, just a bit). We didn't have any problems there. My In-Laws always stay at the Days Inn/Paradise Palms on Front Beach Rd. Could have stayed there for cheaper and not pay extra for waterfall pool or to use beach access, and would have been clean. Prior good ratings must have come from family/friends of unit owner. Avoid Shores of Panama!!!

Response from the manager I am so sorry to hear about the cleanliness and odor of the condo upon your arrival. We always take care of any issues immediately upon notification. These issues were not addressed to us during your stay. Our contact information was located in the condo and all emails that you received from iTrip. We have notified the cleaning company about these issues. We have emailed the general manager of Shores of Panama about the condition of the common areas that they are responsible for and the poor attitudes of their employees. Also, we have contacted the owner about replacing the mattresses and installing ceiling fans with lights.
