“The view did it for me!”
Immaculate and up to date facilities without spoiling the quaintness of the cottage. The only problem was the fire wasn't working and the lower ground floor was quite cold. (We did go in January!) However, this didn't spoil our stay.
“Cosy and welcoming”
Would highly recommend a stay at Bramble Cottage which was full of the charms you'd expect of a fisherman's cottage but with all the mod cons. The kitchen was fabulous and so well equipped, and the rest of the cottage beautifully decorated. The photos don't do it justice. We arrived on a very windy night in December and the cottage was so cosy and warm, we fell in love with it instantly. One recommendation - if arriving at night, take a torch to help you find the cottage and the key safe.
“Amazing cottage with beautiful sea views”
The nicest cottage we have stayed in! Clean, tidy and very well equipped with everything you could need for your stay. Have already looked to book again. We will definetly be returning to this wonderful cottage in an ideal location and with the most amazing sea views.
“Bracing sea air and a hearty walk up the hill after eating in th”
Quirky cottage with entrances on two different roads, multi-levels and a cosy atmosphere. Some rooms are quite small but the cottage is homely, especially the lounge and main bedroom. Kitchen has good views out to sea. Robin Hood's Bay is a wonderful fishing village at the edge of the moors, BUT you have to carry everything a fair distance from the road and the road down to the village is extremely steep so not recommended for anyone unfit!
“Bramble Cottage-great location”
The cottage was immaculate on arrival. The wine and fresh flowers was a lovely extra.Getting to the cottage is typical for Robin Hoods Bay!Steep downhill drive and then unpacking via one of the many pedestrian streets.Bramble Cottage is beautifully furnished with lots of added home touches. Our daughter loved her built in bed, however the stairs (and split level landing) are steep for young children. The view from the kitchen is stunning, looking over the bay. Location is fantastic.Great to be able to just amble round the quaint streets and go straight to the Bay.Wayfarer restaurant was excellent too.
“MUST GO BACK”
This was an absolutely lovely cottage, very comfortable accommodation with beautiful decor and lots of lovely touches in every room. The views across the bay are breathtaking and not found from many cottages in Robin Hoods Bay. There were four adults and two children in our party and we found there was ample room for all of us - the kids LOVED it. The only drawback was that there is just one bathroom but we really didn't find it to be a problem - there was always plenty of hot water. Robin Hoods Bay itself is a delight, though the VERY steep road could be a problem for people with walking difficulties. Nearby Whitby is a great place to visit and, of course the North Yorks Moors are beautiful. We should also admit that the region's boast of serving the best fish and chips in the country is TRUE - and I should know. I highly recommend a visit to Robin Hoods Bay and Bramble Cottage is the place to stay.
“Oh My God!”
The cottage was wonderful and although we didn't actually meet the owners we had some beautiful welcoming flowers on the table when we arrived. The home is lovely, I enjoyed working in the kitchen; all mod cons. There are two lounges one which we called the "reading room" and the other the TV room. The house is set near the top of the hill and is best if you park in the car park at the top. There are two pubs in the vacinity and numerous gift shops. There are some lovely walks nearby and in particular I loved my early morning walk along the beach every day. Probably not good for people who can't manage hills. The worst thing for me was driving on those hills not having done it before! Hence the title "Oh My God". It was a wonderful holiday and I didn't want to go home ..........
