“Super cottage”

Reviewed 14 Jan 2014

We were met by the owner who was really nice and friendly. He showed us round the cottage and gave us a free bottle of wine and box of cakes as a welcome gift. The service all in all was very good. The cottage is very old but had been well modernised with all the mod cons you would need for todays living needs. The lounge nice and bright and a really comfy space. Kitchen had plenty of equipment and anything that we needed we could borrow from the farmhouse so no need to want for anything. The Hot tubs are brill and a real luxury item, although it does take a bit of figuring out how to use the jets and turn everything off for the tub to work properly but we managed it ok. The locality is ideal for travelling in four directions through the peaks as situated quite nicely on a crossroads. There is a bus that drops you off at the property if you fancy leaving your car at home. Plenty of places and sights to see. The least thing I liked was going home as it was a really nice place and so quite a culture shock from town life. Will defo come back.

“Brilliant Stay!”

The cottage had great heritage and was impeccably clean and tidy. The hot tub made a great weekend, including the visits to alton Towers and Monkey Sanctuary. Loved the modern kitchen and allowing space to prepare meals whilst children waited in the dining area. The bedrooms were cosy and comfortable, whilst the patio outside was lovely to use for BBQ and relaxing in the hot sun. Lovely weekend! Would definitely recommend! Thankyou
