“well thought out cottage”

Reviewed 24 Oct 2012

We would recommend this little cottage for a very pleasant stay in Wales. It has everything you could possibly need. Location is good not to far from beautiful beaches and wonderful scenery. If wehave another visit to Wales we would definitely consider staying here.

“delightful little cottage”

Reviewed 1 Dec 2011

This cottage was a delightful little cottage with every detail taken care of. All the information you needed for a good break was to hand without having to find the nearest tourist infotmation office. Trul delightful

“Great value and close to all areas of Snowdonia”

Reviewed 16 Sep 2011

This is wonderful little cottage and is great value for money. Although the village has few facilities Blaenau is a stones throw away and has most things. It is close to all the wonderful areas and attractions of Snowdonia including the coast. Highly recommended.

“Very enjoyable”

We were very impressed with the level of quality and thought that went into the cottage. Onour arrival it was lovly to find that there was a welcome pack for our dog as well as for us.over all it was a lovely holiday

“totally relaxing break”

Reviewed 13 Jan 2011

lovely cosy cottage, excellent location, great reception from the owner, very clean and tidy.

“A lovely rural gettaway, good value for money.”

Reviewed 24 Sep 2010

Arrived to find a lovely bottle of wine, chocolate and biscuits waiting for us! Lovely after a long trip from Oxfordshire. We had a lovely week, the log burner kept us cosy (even in July it was chilly!) The only thing that we had any kind of gripe about was the that the bed was very creaky and as soon as either one of us moved, the creaking was so bad that the other woke up! We also heard a few 'bumps in the night' which we couldn't explain but these noises weren't alarming just strange. Kind of added to the charm of the place. The weather was rubbish so it was lovely to return in the evening to Hen aelwyd Yr Urdd. Would love to return one day and will recommend to friends, thanks...

“cosy little cottage”

Reviewed 20 Sep 2010

Had all mod cons you could have in the cottage, very nice break that me and my partner had back in July, although we had some noise from the yard opposite that would sometimes wake us up in the morning when we wanted to have lie-in and also found not being able to park our car near to the cottage was a disadvantage due to the fact there was a slope in the road going on to the main road. We also had trouble with the flushing of the toilet as it took 7 to 8 minutes to re-flush if your partner had an urgent use for it

“Beauitful Location”

Reviewed 15 Sep 2010

Place was excellent and very clean. Parking not so good, and pity there was no eating places or pubs in the village, I think we should have been told this in advance.

“Charming Cottage”

Reviewed 28 May 2010

We arrived in the evening and found a very charming cottage with beams and a wood burning fire. The owners had left some lovely welcoming gifts, birthday card, bottle of wine. The cottage was very clean and a great location for walking in the area. A lovely cottage for a quiet, relaxing break for two.

“The perfect Valentine's weekend”

Reviewed 15 Apr 2010

We had a wonderful time at this cottage, which started with the welcome gifts left by the owners - wine, Welsh cakes, a heart balloon and card. The log burning stove and the comfort of the cottage made it the perfect romantic getaway. The local area was very scenic and also accessible to Snowdonia tourist attractions. The owners had left plenty of information on both the cottage and on the local area for our use. A definite on our 'must visit again' list.
