“A WARM WELCOME TO A LOVELY HOMELY COTTAGE”

Reviewed 22 Dec 2009

On arriving at the cottage we were welcomed by the owner who had lit a lovely log fire and had baked fresh cakes. The cottage was immaculate and had nice 'lived in'touches. This included full access to a weel presented garden. The location is excellent for visiting the Moors and the Coast is only a short drive away. The small town has excellent facilities with 4 or 5 options for those wishing to eat out,all within walking distance of the aaccom. We liked the peaceful location and didn't dislike any of it.

“North York Moors Idyll”

Reviewed 20 Dec 2009

We had a warm welcome on arrival with freshly baked rolls and cakes on a tea tray waiting for us. The accommodation was well situated to exploor the North York Moors and was well equipped to a high standard. It was furnished very well and it seemed that the owners had thought of providing everything to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We enjoyed warm sunny weather which meant we were able to make use of the lovely garden for meals. We have no hesitation in recommending this property.

“highly recommended in every respect”

Warm welcome from owner and tea waiting. Lovely property and garden, comfortable beds and helpful but unobtrusive owners. Good centre for exploring surrounding area and helpful information available in the property. No complaints or deficiences so no suggestions for improvements.

Hi Our stay was fantastic and really really enjoyed. It was one of the best holidays we had in a long time. Lovely surroundings, perfect location and very nice owners. As I mentioned in my last review, we would love to return but we are disappointed that the prices for 2010 have increased a lot. We don't mind a small increase in line with inflation but not 70 + pounds (can't remember now it has been a while since we last looked) so we were not impressed. Having said that we will use sykes again if another suitable accommodation appears within appropriate dates.

Park House is well equipped and comfortable. We were made most welcome by the owners and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Plough at Fadmore and the Royal Oak at Gillamoor are recommended eating places.

THE OWNERS WERE VERY WELCOMING AND THE HOLIDAY ACCOMODATION WAS THE BEST WE HAVE EVER HAD. EVERTHING WAS IN THE ACCOMODATION THAT WAS NEEDED AND THE OWNERS WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND INFORMATIVE OF PLACES TO VISIT. WONDERFUL LOCATION FOR EXPLORING THE AREA. AN ABSOLUTE GEM OF A DISCOVERY AND WE HAVE ALREADY BOOKED FOR 2010. JAN & ALAN BASHFORD SPALDING LINCS

“Excellent!”

The home was lovely and welcoming, however a little cold until the central heating was put on. Lovely log burner until that happened though in the sitting room. A lovely place to relax and unwind in.
