“Home from Home with the beach on the doorstop :-)”
A lovely little cottage with all you need for a family holiday. Everything has been thought of from fully equipped kitchen, comfy beds, and a lovely big sofa to relax on. Good selection of toys, games, dvds, books etc for the evenings. A minute walk across to the beach so the car gets a rest too!! Lovely friendly owner and friend who sowed us round on arrival - milk for a cuppa and a cake each waiting in the fridge :-)
“home from home”
on arrival at our holiday home we were met by the owner and showed around. what a beautiful tastefully decorated cottage it is. it is the best cottage we have stayed in and so comfortable and clean. only a short walk across the road and your on the beach, yet at night its so quiet. You wouldn't think you were so close to the town center. Our dog loved his own private garden to run around in and he could see through the fence passing the time away in the sunshine. If you dontwant to cook there are lots of restraunts, cafes and chip bars scattered all around Bridlington. They are all very good, and we have tried most of them. Situated in the harbour is a lovely drinks café, we went there every day and sat on the benches drinking tea and hot chocolate whilst viewing the harbour and the antics of the seagulls. We will definitely be back to stay in this cottage, it is as the top of our list, overall a great holiday.
the location of this cottage was great, everything on your doorstep lovely promenade and beach. lots of shops plenty of places to eat lots to do there never got bored definately recommend this place, the accomodation was good, just needed the bathroom window upstairs fixing and a better chair in the living room a more comfy one other than that very good a very good shower in it and a lovely enclosed garden and we got a warm welcome from the woman across the road.
“fantastic stay in a lovely cottage”
We had an amazing week in Bridlington - the cottage is lovely well situated near the Spa Theatre and only 10 min walk away from the main town Centre. Sue the owner is lovely and showed us around. The beds are really comfy, shower and bath spot on, and the cottage is very cosy whilst retaining a spacious feel to it. We took our dog who absolutely loved it, and the main beach is only 2 mins walk away !!! so ideally situated, with the main dog beach only a 5 min walk away. We will probably stay here again when visiting Bridlington as it was so handy for town, the beach, everything. Lovely walks around Bridlington we particularly enjoyed the walk to Sewerby on the cliff tops and the dog enjoyed running around Sewerby gardens! The pub the Ship Inn allows dogs to eat with you in the restaurant and this was superb!! Wonderful place, wonderful cottage, we will return! Many thanks for a wonderful stay. “lovely cottage horrible weather”
Apart from the weather which was horrible the cottage was everything we had expected and ideal for just the 2 of us.Was a bit dubious when booking as it does allow a dog and from previous experience where dogs have been allowed we have had signs and smells of them but this cottage was spotless and smelt wonderfully fresh and is a credit to the owners. As we usually take a short break around March each year we would certainly book the cottage again and certainly recommend it to other 10 out of 10 for value/comfort/cleanliness/ease of check in/location and service
“Toast of the Coast!”
Woodcroft Cottage is a sylish, comfortable cottage with everything you would need for a great time. Met at the door by the owners to a warm welcome was a perfect start. Parking too! a real bonus. A small enclosed garden makes it safe for children and pets. With the beach across the road and Bridlington Spa Theatre and the harbour a stroll away it is perfectly located. There is plenty to see within a short drive away, coastal resorts of Scarborough, Flamborough and Filey and for the bird lovers Bempton Bird Sanctuary. Further afield but well worth a visit is the Yorkshire Wolds and North Yorkshire Moors, fabulous for keen walkers. A real find!
