“everything you could want for a wonderful holiday”

Reviewed 7 Jan 2014

Caerffynnon cottage is excellent in every aspect.Quiet remote but very easily accessed. It is a peaceful holiday in superb countryside and only a short distance from beautiful miles of sandy beach. The owners are on hand for advice but do not interfere with your vacation. Wonderful walks from right outside the door with breathtaking views all around. Lovely local Cafes in Dyffryn and Harlech and great trips to Portmadog and lake Bala. Cottage is clean and very well equipped, the best we have been in. Highly recommended

“A wonderful holiday experience from booking to returning home”

Reviewed 1 Aug 2013

The entire experience of our holiday was wonderful the service from Sykes staff was first class and booking was a breeze the cottage was a home from home and we were made extremely welcome by the owners with a welcoming gift of home made cake tea coffee sugar. And milk all there for us to use. Such a quiet location at the end of a private lane no passing traffic no road noise just the farmers sheep for company most of the time the facilities were excellent all cutlery pots and pans provided and clean bedding etc the only slight problem was no mobile phone signals but this was offset by the provision of free yes free WI FI all in all a truly enjoyable first time Sykes experience many thanks to all involved in making our holiday worth while

“Caerffynnon”

This was our second visit. This cottage is in a beautiful quiet location set in tranquil setting. The cottage has all it needs or should have. Comfortable well equupped. Mr & Mrs Jones made us very welcome and were very helpful. We hope to come again.

“Peaceful and welcoming”

Reviewed 11 Jul 2013

We stayed here as a base for exploring the castles of North Wales. It was a bit of a last minute booking, but everything was sorted very quickly. The cottage was in a fabulous location surrounded by hills and sheep and was very comfortable and clean. We were made very welcome by the owners, with Mrs Jones baking us an absolutely delicious cake! Caerfynnon is a bit off the beaten track, but it was very accessible to the main road by car. The sandy beach was only about 10 minutes away with Dyffryn ardudwy about 1.5 miles down the road. There seemed to be lots of things to do and places to visit in the area - we were concentrating on castles so didn't have the opportunity to explore fully. It was so peaceful, with just the sounds of the sheep and birds to keep us company. Sadly the internet access failed, but Mr Jones was very apologetic and kept us up to date with progress, in the end we were so busy enjoying the glorious sunshine in the garden we didn't need it. The cottage proved an ideal choice for our stay and we are all hoping to visit again.
