“Beautiful cottage, beautiful location!!”

Reviewed 2 Dec 2013

Beautifully kept warm cosy cottage.Gorgeous views and walks from cottage in every direction. We received a lovely hamper on arrival. Cottage right in centre of village down a small lane, pub 2 min walk away.

“A lovely cottage”

They had thought of everything and we really enjoyed the bacon for our breakfast the first morning. Brilliant location and even better that dogs are allowed. A perfect walking holiday.

“A Walker's Haven”

Reviewed 2 Jul 2013

A comfortable, well equipped cottage, with plenty of space, but the most important thing is the location. If you are a walker it simply doesn't get any better. Great circular walks from the door, and the reasonably frequent bus services mean linear expeditions over to Langdale, Thirlmere, Lorton, or Whinlatter are all possible. The cottage has an enclosed garden, which is unusual in the lakes, but really useful if you have dogs.

the service was second to none, we received the loveliest welcome the cottage was clean with little extras everywhere. The only time we used the car was for shopping the rest of the time we were up and out for the day.We will remember Nook Cottage forever and we will return...fantastic
