This end-mews cottage sits by the River Esk a mile from Whitby, and sleeps six people in three cottages.Berry Banks Cottage is an end-mews cottage in a development a mile from Whitby. The cottage has a king-size double bedroom with balcony and TV, a twin and a bunks room. There is a bathroom, and a downstairs cloakroom. The open plan living area has a kitchen, dining area and sitting area. Outside is off road parking for one car, a patio and communal grounds leading down to the river. Berry Banks Cottage makes an ideal family base for enjoying this wonderful part of the Yorkshire coastline.

Amenities: Gas central heating. Electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, Smart TV with FreeSat, CD/radio, WiFi, selection of books, games. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Travel cot and highchair. Off road parking for 1 car plus guest parking. Small, decked area with furniture. Communal grounds leading to river. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop 10 mins walk, pub 1 mile.

Region: The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

Town: Situated at the mouth of the River Esk, Whitby is an ancient fishing port steeped in history. The ruin of St Hilda's Abbey is high on Whitby's East Cliff and looks down on narrow streets and alleyways. From the old town, the parish church of St Mary, also on East Cliff, has 199 steps leading to it and the churchyard was one of the inspirations for Bram Stoker's Dracula. Other attractions in Whitby include the Captain Cook Memorial Museum, Victorian Jet Works and The Dracula Experience. There are year-round events at Whitby Pavilion Complex and there is a blue flag beach and spectacular cliffs and bays to explore. Whitby is in a beautiful region and offers visitors a great deal of variety for a memorable holiday at any time of year.
