A mid-terrace cottage, superbly located within a short distance of the bustling village of Bowness-on-Windermere and yards from Lake Windermere itself and can sleep eight people in four bedrooms.Lake House is a mid-terrace cottage, superbly located within a short distance of the bustling village of Bowness-on-Windermere and yards from LakeWindermere itself and can sleep eight people. This cottage is set over three floors and has a second floor king-size double with wash basin and TV, a ground floor double bedroom, two second floor twin bedrooms, a second floor bathroom, a ground floor shower room, a first floor kitchen with dining area and balcony, a first floor sitting room with balcony and a garage/utility. Outside there is off road parking for two cars, lockable bike storage and a patio area to the front with furniture. Lake House is a wonderful holiday base.

Amenities: Gas central heating. Electric oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine in utility, tumble dryer, dishwasher, TV with Freeview, WiFi. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Travel cot and highchair on request. Off road parking for 2 cars. Lockable bike storage. Patio to front with furniture. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 2 mins walk. Note: This property is no longer pet friendly as of 28/01/2020, bookings made before this date will be honoured. Check in time is now at 4pm to allow for additional cleaning, check out time will remain at 10am, thank you.

Region: Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.

Town: Providing a range of amenities, shops and restaurants to suit all tastes, the twin towns of Bowness and Windermere have an enduring appeal for many visitors to the Lake District. Boat trips are available from vibrant Bowness to Ambleside, as well as to the Lakeside Aquarium and Beatrix Potter's 'Hill Top House' at Sawrey. Nearby is Grizedale Forest Park which offers good walks, mountain biking and the 'Go Ape' adventure playground, whilst for those who aren't keen on 'monkeying around' the National Trust care for a number of properties in the area. There are also a variety of water sports available across the many beaches. Children may enjoy a visit the "World of Beatrix Potter" in Bowness, which brings famous characters to life using animatronic technology. Also within easy reach are destinations such as Grasmere, Coniston Water, Kendal, Keswick and the Lakeland Mountains.

Response from the manager Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry you have felt the need to comment on the comfort levels of the sofas and the beds. If we had been made aware of these issues during your stay, we would have looked to have resolved them for you. In almost 5 years of renting out the property, we have never received any adverse comments about the comfort levels of the sofas or the beds and we hope you appreciate that it is very much down to personal preference as to whether furniture or beds are too hard or too soft for someones liking. We are pleased to confirm that we are about to replace all of the sofas and armchairs in the lounge and we will place some memory foam mattress toppers in the bedrooms so these can be added or removed according to customers preferences. We do take feedback seriously and try to act on any comments that are made. We do hope that once these changes have been, you feel it will be worthwhile visiting the property again.
