This cosy property sleeps four people in two bedrooms, and is in the Staffordshire village of Cheddleton near Leek.Basford View is a cosy semi-detached property in the Staffordshire village of Cheddleton. The holiday home has a double and a twin room, a ground floor bathroom, a kitchen with breakfast bar for two and a sitting room with gas fire. Outside is off road parking for two cars, and a rear garden with patio, furniture and raised lawn. Basford View is a convenient base for touring, being close to Churnet Valley Railway, the Roaches, Tittesworth Reservoir and Alton Towers.
Amenities: Gas central heating with electric fire. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, TV with Freeview, DVD, WiFi. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Travel cot and highchair. Off road parking for 1 car, plus roadside parking. Enclosed garden with patio, furniture and 5 steps to raised lawn area. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shops and pub 10 mins walk.
Region: The ultimate in "year-round" appeal, the Peak District offers countryside, picturesque villages and magnificent scenery. It touches upon six counties and encloses 555 square miles of open moorland, flowing rivers, and wooded dales.
Town: The market town of Leek is situated on the western side of The Peak District National Park and is surrounded by lovely Moorland countryside. The town has a charming cobbled market place and there are many examples of fine Victorian architecture - a reminder of the town's prosperity when it was renowned as a silk manufacturing centre. Today Leek offers a wide selection of shops including vast antique emporiums, bookshops and galleries and there is good selection of restaurants and real ale pubs. Alton Towers is less than 20 minutes drive away.
