“Beautiful decor and location!”
This bungalow is beautifully decorated. There is an electric fireplace which was really nice since it was chilly the nights we stayed. The view of the lake from the porch is amazing! The owners were a pleasure to work with and it is obvious they take great pride in this bungalow. We will definitely be coming back!
“We didn't want to leave”
We stayed here for our anniversary and it was fantastic! We loved everything about our stay and working with Joe & Laurie was top notch! We were so comfortable in all aspects and loved how clean and inviting it was. We will definitely be back!
Eva and I stayed at here for 3 day Labor Day weekend. All the amenities were very comfortable. We loved the kitchen and outside grill. We cooked in the kitchen every night. We bought bubble bath down town on Spring street at bath works and used the tub every night for a long bath. It was great and relaxing!!! The drive into town from Holiday Island is so worth the time. Overall we loved staying here.
We received excellent service. We were there to celebrate a birthday. I requested a cake and balloons. They did an excellent job of supplying those plus a bottle of wine. We would stay again. We had an great time. Nice, cozy place. It was exactly how it was advertised with a nice deck and fireplace.
This was our 32nd anniversary. We wanted some time for ourselves, just relax and reflect. Just layed around. Everything was great. We would like to come back aganin. [Wife's] Comfortable, nice, and i liked the tub! We loved it!
“Enjoyable and comfortable stay...”
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were quite comfortable. Owners were very helpful, left information packet suggesting places to eat, visit and directions which were most helpful. We will most certainly contact Joe & Laurie again for our future visits to Eureka Springs. The bungalow was very clean and well equipped. loved the location...
“Relaxing, quiet weekend getaway”
The Blue Water Bungalow was more like a home away from home experience than a hotel or condo. It is furnished like a home with new, clean comfortable furniture, full kitchen, TVs, computer, etc. It is super clean and very spacious. The kitchen is stocked with all the utensils needed to cook almost any meal and we also used the charcoal grill to cook steaks. The bungalow is located in a small, quiet community so it's easy to unwind and enjoy the tranquility and beautiful scenery. We also enjoyed fabulous breakfasts at a cafe just a half mile down the road. I highly recommend the Blue Water Bungalow for anyone looking for a quiet, romantic place to stay!
“Nothing short of amazing”
We recently stayed at the Blue Water Bungalow for our honeymoon. As soon as we arrived, we were so pleased that we called to extend our stay. The cottage was roomy, comfortable, beautifully furnished and had everything you could want or need. The location was great as was the view. The Gunnells were wonderful Christian people to do business with! We will definately return and encourage others to choose it for a great spot in Eureka Springs to stay! Thanks Joe and Laurie for helping to make our honeymoon a memorable one.
“Some good, some bad”
The house was clean and well furnished. Our problems were: the bed was only a full size; the location was on a corner lot with a moderately busy street early a.m. beside the house; and there isn't a separate shower from the jacuzzi. The view from the deck was good, however the traffic was a distraction. It was a nice neighborhood and no problems with neighbors.
Response from the owner We are proud of our 5 star rating, which doesn't mean that every guest has been 100% happy with everything about our cottage, and their reviews and comments are accepted and appreciated. That being said, there are things in this particular review that simply are not correct and must be corrected. First, the bed is a Queen Size bed, not a full size bed. The guest was unhappy because he "thought" it was going to be a King size bed. Second, there is a shower. It is a shower wand and is part of the jacuzzi tub. We now have a wall bracket to place the wand in, as well as an oval shaped shower curtain that hangs from the ceiling so you can stand up while showering. Prior to having the wall bracket and curtain you did have to sit while showering. We are very excited about the new shower situation. It was a very costly thing to do, but we know it is well worth the investment to make our guests stay with us even more perfect.
“Romantic getaway in style.”
Wonderful place to stay, very relaxing for anyone wanting to getaway. The jacuzzi tub was a great feature .
