“Run... Fast - Do NOT Rent Here - NOTHING WORKS”

Reviewed 9 Jul 2015

We live in Burbank (Los Angeles Area) it was about a 10 hour drive to get to our vacation rental. 6 people total (mother in law, sister in law (with mild down syndrome), my husband, son and his friend). Immediately upon arrival, as we are trying to unpack our groceries, we noticed that the refrigerator wasn't cold, so my husband lowered the temp all the way down, waited for about 30 minutes, no change. We then decided to turn on the TV for my sister in law, error message on the screen. We called the front desk, they said someone would be up in 1 hour. We wait the hour and someone shows up, says he needs to call the cable company to find out what the issue is, we then walk over to the fridge, his response "Oh...they didn't tell you?..this units refrigerator is broken, I called it in 2 weeks ago, they dont have the parts yet". wait...what???.... We can bring you dry ice - Not an ideal situation, but, lets try it. We go out to eat, there is a note on the floor, "Cable company will be here on the 8th to fix the cable" ummmm...its the 2nd, we leave on the 8th... what the heck!. My husband calls the front desk again, they offer to issue a credit for 1 night....its late we go to sleep... Only to wake up the next morning with construction going on outside (which was never mentioned)...the beep beep beep of the forklift, people yelling and hammering made for a miserable stay. I decide to take a shower, but wait, you cant adjust the temperature of the water, that's broken too. My Husband drives out this time to the office...they offer for us to leave and refund the entire dollar amount...(did i mention that we drove 10 hours to get there) and how do you recover the vacation time from work and explain to someone with down why we have to leave..that option was not feasible. So they offer to move us to a smaller unit, a 2 bedroom, We pack up everything and move - my son slept on a love seat and his friend slept on another one. What a hassle and waste of vacation time this place is, it is a far cry from a vacation much less a resort. If you want to enjoy yourself...look at staying some where else.

“Nice Stay - Looking forward to coming back”

Reviewed 28 Aug 2013

When I booked my vacation I was overwhelmed with trying to choose a good location and a condo that would give me the vacation I so needed. I talked to the Tahoe Keys Resort and a girl named Kris or Kriz who helped me make the reservation. It was perfect for us and our boat. I liked being able to walk down to the lake and also to the pool. I also enjoyed the Fresh ketch restaurant which the office recommended. It is in the neighborhood. I would have liked to have more towels available - but other than that - it was a very good stay.

“Loved Every Minute!”

It's nice being able to get away from it all. Loved being able to bring the boat - enjoyed morning coffee on the deck. Wished there could have been more towels, but I picked some up at the office.

“Okay but too pricey.”

I was a little disappointed to say the least. The tri-level condo was nice but not great especially for the money. The location was great. Check in was fast and easy. However, in the bottom floor bedroom there was absolutely no closet/storage space. There were items (a vanity in a box) and other items stored in both the closet in the bedroom and the hall closet. Also for the price, I just can't justify staying there again. Way too pricey. I only took it because it was a last minute travel plan and it was Memorial Day weekend and I didn't have a lot of choices. Would I stay there again, definitely not at that price.
