“Great location and views - dated decor and amenities”

Reviewed 23 Jul 2014

We stayed at this house with six adults and 5 young adults ranging 15 to 25.The location of this property is wonderful with views of the canals and mountains from the back and views of open pasture across the street. House is spacious and has a nice deck and grassy backyard. Kids enjoyed playing spike ball that they brought in the back yard. The house does not provide any kayaks, paddle boats or SUP board so we never used the boat dock. The house was very clean. The deck has a picnic table and gas grill. The master bedroom is spacious and the master bath is very nice with skylights, a large shower with two shower heads, a jacuzzi tub. The kitchen appliances are old but are high end with a gas stove top and a double oven. Frig doesn't have an icemaker so we bought ice and used our ice chests. My complaints about this property is that the owners aren't paying attention to the little details that make a property stand out to guests. The decor is dated, the kitchen is not well stocked - mixed/matched incomplete dishes, no cleaning supplies, very few serving pieces, the beds are awful - particularly the downstairs full bed and the bunk beds, the couches are old, old and worn out. The TV's are dated (that wasn't important to our group though). I went out and bought some aerobeds for my adult children to sleep on. Some of the bedrooms with double/king beds had only one end table and lamp. And the bedspreads and wall art need to be updated with something made since 2000. I only called the management company when we first arrived to complain about the double bed and a few other little things that were missing. They were very responsive and arrived on our doorstep with an hour with a new mattress pad, new wine glasses and a serving bowl. They were also very easy to work during the reservation process. The house is rated as moderate and it is priced accordingly. But if the owners would spend a few thousand dollars they could really make this place shine and could charge a bit more.

“This rental is in a perfect location with panoramic views from t”

We loved staying at this home. It was a perfect configuration for our family of 8. The three young children adored the bunk beds and the large yard to play soccer in. Sitting on the deck upstairs was a very favorite pastime for the adults. The kitchen was generally well stocked and easy to work in. The large dining room offered us great family bonding time during dinner. We enjoyed kite flying in the meadow across the street. One suggestion: The television set downstairs needs to be upgraded to a larger screen and HD. Also, there needs to be a tv in the living room. We acknowledge that when you come to Tahoe your focus is not on tv watching. However, modernization of this home's media would increase the value of the property,

“Thanksgiving 2009 in Lake Tahoe”

Reviewed 5 Feb 2010

It was a very, very nice rental. However, we couldn't use the fireplace in the family room (the room downstairs). Also, the front door was a problem, because you had to use the key to re-enter the house whenever you went outside and completely close the front door. Lastly, we might try to stay there the next time we come to Lake Tahoe. The service was very, very good.

“Great Experience!”

Awesome house! Very spacious, great location with a great view. Picking up the key and checking out was extremely easy, definitely would rent from Tahoe Keys resort again! The staff was friendly and helpful about both the house and Lake Tahoe in general. The house could use some better kitchen supplies... such as serving dishes, pot holders and hand towels. Otherwise we had a great stay.

This was an awesome house and a prime location. We had a blast staying here and would love to come back sometime.
