“Rude Management, Incompetent Staff, Faulty Cabin, Downgraded,”
Throughout my many years of renting in Lake Tahoe, I have never dealt with such an awful property management company: For just two nights of stay, I spent several hours following up with an outrageously rude staff, for a cabin with couches as two of the "8" sleeping spots. I paid extra for a cabin with a hot tub and ski-in/-out for Heavenly. We got there and the hot tub was broken. After spending hours of our limited ski weekend at the office, we were downgraded to a smaller property in the crowded Tahoe Keys, 15 minutes away from Heavenly. They offered this cabin as an "upgrade", but it was listed on their website as $200/night less than what we had paid. Staff: I've never dealt with a more incompetent and disorganized staff. After agreeing to prepay in full, I was told I'd receive a late check-in form and receipt. Card was charged, no receipt was e-mailed, but I did receive a late check-in form with my name misspelled. After asking the reservationist four times for a new one, she finally sent one one plus a few forms with no signature fields. After sending everything and even agreeing to email id/CC copies (terrible practice for info security), I called to make sure that they had what they needed so I could be done with this joke of a process. The rude and apathetic Lindsay told me me that I didn't complete everything she sent. It wasn't after I asked her to look at the attachments that she finally realized she sent me agreements without signature fields. She then sent two more forms that she forgot to fill out her portion of. Manager: Anna, the rudest and most unprofessional manager made me realize why this company is such a mess. Instead of asking me about the situation or even saying "hello", upon answering she yelled, "look, you have to fill out all of the forms!" I was blown away. After explaining what happened, she realized that her incorrect interpretation of the situation and embarrassingly aggressive reaction made her come off like a crazy person.
“Great time with the family in Tahoe”
We weren't sure if the images we'd seen would live up to the real thing but were pleasantly surprised. Getting the keys was fast and easy. There was plenty of room for all of us with plenty to keep the kids happy. The only complaint (from the kids)was that there was no wi-fi but since we were there to get away from it all it was nice for everyone to put down the electronics and just chat and relax. We took them for a quick hike just down the street which was beautiful and they got to enjoy the outdoors. The house had everything we needed to cook and grill saving us time and money. We actually only ate out once the whole time there. As we're leaving my daughter wanted to know if we could come back for Christmas. Maybe next year.
“Hut tub doesn't work”
The main reason we chose this cabin over others was private hot tub! When we got there water in "hot" tub was cold!!! After several calls to main office and hearing an excuse that "the water just been changed and it will take time for it to warm again", they finally send a "technician" who didn't do much and looked like he doesn't even know what he is doing ?!?!?! On top of this, we discovered burned out bed sheets! Overall house didn't hold up to our expectations and service almost ruined our vacation!
“Loved this Cabin!!!”
This Cabin was very spacious and beautiful! The updates were great. We has a fantastic time during our stay. The hot tub was a great feature. We would recommend this cabin to friends and family!
“Better than we had hoped”
This is a beautiful house that my wife and I spent our honeymoon in. Unfortunately we only got to use the hot tub a couple times out of the week we were there, it kept breaking. Besides that it was amazing. Very close to Heavenly and a short drive to shopping areas. Bring your snowshoes because you can hike up the mountains right in the back yard, that was super fun.
“Great remodeled cabin for the price”
This was a great property for a group a friends spending New Year's in Tahoe. It was recently remodeled inside, so everything was very clean and modern. The location was nice as well because although there are neighbors on either side, it is bordered to the rear by National Forest land.
We had 5 people staying at the property for 10 days. It is a very nice house, good location right down the street from Heavenly. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the things you need to make meals at home. The living room is large and comfortable and the bedrooms are very nice. The hot tub is great after a long day of skiing. The house is also conveniently located with downtown and the casino's only 10 minutes away. We drove to Squaw Valley and Kirkwood and each area is approximately 45 minutes away. We got 24" of snow one night and the road was plowed by 8 in the morning, however, getting to the house was a problem that night while it was snowing and chains are needed. I would recommend this property!
“Great home but two major issues:”
Great home but we experienced tow major issues: 1. The rental company lid to us, there is NO shuttle on our street or the next street over to Heavenly. 2. The pilot light on the gas furnace constantly goes out and WE had to reignite it - it was a pain, there's a list of steps you need to do. Two strikes against Tahoe Keys...
“Great stay, no issues!”
- Pick-up and drop-off of keys was quick and easy, and staff at the rental office were polite and friendly. - The house was clean, conveniently located, with adequate amenities for all the guests. - Best thing? Nice house at a good price, very close to shops, restaurants, and casinos. Worst thing? Gunshots from the neighbors who argued loudly at 1:00am on Friday night and fear that someone was going to get shot.
“GREAT PLACE TO STAY”
This a great place to stay for snowsking because it is at the parking lot of Heavenly lodge. It had a big screen tv and a hot tub on the back pourch. Every one liked the location and all the facilities. I have been there before and probabily stay there again.
