“Nice cabin closed to town and Heavenly ski resort”

Reviewed 3 Apr 2012

Nice and clean 2 bed-room cabin with a bonus loft that has two twin beds which is great if you have couple of teenagers. The kitchen has everything you need. I like the tall ceiling and the nice back yard for sledding. Super close to Heavenly(5 minutes) and the casino (also 5 minutes) and you've going to love the neighborhood, beautiful streets with all the houses styled after an austrian town. We had a very nice time here. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you much!

“Good times”

We had an amazing time in this cabin and would definitively rent it again. I fully recommend this cabin for anyone who would like to stay 5 minutes away from the gondolas in a superb specious cabin.

“Good location but needs some TLC”

Reviewed 24 Apr 2010

We rented this home for a ski trip to Heavenly with another couple. The check-in process was fine, and the home was clean and in a good location. However, the furniture in the property really needs to be replaced. The dining room table was literally falling apart. We called the rental company and they said that they would send someone out to fix it, but no one ever came. There were similar issues with some of the side tables as well. In addition the beds are poor quality and the linens need to be replaced. The comforter and pillow shams in the room with the larger bed were stained and torn. There was a very small TV in this room, but it is in a bad location, you have to step over it and the cord coming from the wall to get into the bed. This place has great potential but could really use a little TLC with some updated furnishings.

“Great house”

Great location in Tahoe Tyrol! Enjoyed apres on the sunny deck. House has 2 master bedrooms & bonus loft, accessible by steep ladder, great for older children.

“Nice house but was not clean upon arrival”

Reviewed 14 Apr 2010

The check in went smoothly. We got to the rental office at 12:30am and it was easy to retrieve the key. There was also a map to the house which was great. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised to see the lights and heater were on. But when it came to go to bed, that's when it went south. The beds were made but the the sheets were not washed (there was hair) and dirty towels were piled on top of the washing machine. The bathroom was also very dirty with hair everywhere and splatter on the mirror. We were up till 3am washing the sheets. The next morning, the management company sent someone to finish cleaning and also said they would credit the cleaning fee. When I checked out, the final bill did not reflect the credit and there was some back and forth as to what happened. Fortunately it was resolved (after about 20 minutes) but I have to admit it was a bit annoying having to deal with the cleaning and then again explaining the bill at the end. The house was spacious and had all the basic amenities. It doesn't have up to date appliances and the beds could use new mattresses. But overall it was a comfortable home and there was enough room in the backyard to go sledding. Location was great as well, close to Heavenly and Stateline.

“Excellent location and amenities - need better beds!!!”

Reviewed 13 Apr 2010

Overall, the home was in a great location and was much bigger than described. Even though it is rented for four people, the permit and number of sleeping spots can accommodate 8 people! It is right across the street from the hot tub, and the deck is huge and great for enjoying a beer after skiing. However...the beds are foam mattresses and are not comfortable. The king bed is actually 2 twins pushed together, so if you roll into the center you fall into the crack because, yes, they are really foam mattresses. Overall we really liked the place, but would try another home within Tahoe Keys first. After a long day of skiing, comfort is important, and hopefully the owners upgrade the beds soon!

“Great property”

Reviewed 11 Feb 2010

If you are looking to save some money, this house is ideal. It is pretty close to the slopes shops and very confortable. We loved to stay there and everything is very clean....they should get better pictures of the house....you can't really tell how nice is from the photos. Highly recommended.

“A little piece of heaven”

Reviewed 6 Feb 2010

I absolutely loved this place. I can't wait to come back next winter. Although the cabin was cozy and well furnished, the location of it was the best part. Friends and I walked to Heavenly and drove 3 minutes to the casinos. Amazing. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because there was dog hair all over the carpet in the living room and the wifi was inoperable.

“Pretty cool and fun”

Reviewed 10 Oct 2009

We stayed 5 days and enjoyed it very much. The location of the rental is great. In the woods but close to the casinos. There was a loft upstairs with two twin beds that was not in the description, so it was a nice surprise. The two bedrooms downstairs were clean and comfortable and it was great to have a TV in each room. Big upstairs patio out front to relax and watch the neigbors. I didn't try the pool but my family had no complaints. The kitchen was small. The dining table was big. The TV stand in the living room needs replacing. We had a problem with the bears as one climbed up on the kitchen balcony. We were never warned about the bears and there was no instructions about what to do with your trash. They really need more bear trash lockers cause it fills fast. You have to go looking for them as they don't inform you as to their location. All in all, it was a great time and I recommend it.

“Relaxing, but too many stairs”

Reviewed 26 Sep 2009

The home was comfortable. I wouldn't recommend it to families with small children. The loft area would be dangerous, ladder and railings may cause trapping or fall injuries for children. My husband and I both have had knee surgeries and the stairs were difficult for us. The house was nicely appointed however.
