“An excellent value on a quality B”
My girlfriend and I were looking for a last minute place to stay up in the Sugarbush area after a significant snow storm. We found Dawn's place online and gave her a call. She was so accommodating and had availability for us that we decided to book it even though we weren't as close to Sugarbush as we liked. Good thing we did because she was friendly and thorough as ever and set us up in her apartment that is attached to her house. It was extremely clean, great sized, had everything we needed at a very affordable price. She even went out of her way to make us 4 blueberry muffins that were wonderful! Needless to say, I will be staying here every time I ski Sugarbush or the surrounding areas. Dawn is very friendly and appreciates all her guests that spend time with her. She is more than accommodating. I highly recommend calling her if you're looking for a nice place to stay.
“Friendly host, clean space, close to Sugarbush!”
Dawn was great! The place is beautiful, super clean and very well decorated. Sugarbush is 30 mins down the street and we wish we had more time to explore the 70 acres the house sits on! Dawn is a very gracious host, providing delicious banana bread and granola for breakfast, and we had a great time. Highly recommend!
“Perfect Vermont location”
We stayed at Three Covered Bridges for 2 weeks in January for a ski vacation. It is a charming place with plenty of storage. It is truly a home away from home and is very clean and comfortable. The kitchen is great for cooking and is well outfitted with pots, pans, etc. The location was very close to Sugarbush and Mad River and Stowe and Smugglers are about an hour away. We loved using it as our home base for exploring Vermont downhill and xc ski options, wineries, restaurants and antiquing. It is also conveniently close to Montpelier. Just perfect!!
Response from the owner Hi Angela and Joe, Thank you! And thank you for choosing my place. Can you believe we're getting 2 ft. of snow right now? You too? Great skiing...but I'm ready for daffodils. :-) Hope to meet you in the future, and "Thank You," again.
nice and cozy house in the woods, gracious host, we recommend! casa bella ed accogliente nel bosco, host gentilissima ,consigliamo!
“Our home away from home”
We stayed in the upstairs apartment with our Rook for Parents Weekend. We were able to get back and forth to the University easily. Our son got to eat and rest as if he is at a favorite aunt's house. The apartment is cozy and spacious. We cooked and walked around the property. The beds are very comfortable. Excellent shower. Dawn stocks the kitchen with some basics which came in handy. Her excellent pumpkin bread was a very nice touch. We look forward to having another reason to stay with Dawn.
Response from the owner Thank you, Linda. Hope all is well. Your family was a pleasure to host here...and I'm glad you enjoyed your stay! Say "hello" for me, and I hope we meet again...you are welcome anytime.
We stayed in the apt. for 5 nights beginning Oct. 3, 2013. This place is fantastic. It is roomy, comfortable, and Dawn is very accommodating. We truly enjoyed our stay and wished we could've stayed longer. It is beautiful here, and it was the perfect location for touring northern Vermont and New Hampshire. We want to come back in the summer sometime and take advantage of the waterfalls, brook, and swimming hole.
Response from the owner Susan and Larry were a pleasure to host. Everything was left clean and in perfect order. Appreciative and very considerate, I hope they have a chance to return to Vermont...and stay with me again!
“Dawn was a wonderful host, we felt at home and will definitely b”
Who knew the accommodations could make you want to make someplace a regular vacation destination!? We will definitely be back. Peaceful, beautiful, and it felt like home. Dawn was delightful. She greeted us upon our arrival. The weather was anything but great (pretty much rained the entire time), but that didn't deter enjoying our visit. We look forward to returning when the weather is more cooperative, and exploring all the nature at the doorstep. The waterfalls were amazing, the sound of a waterfall is incredibly soothing. Our children didn't want to leave. Neither did we.
“Bucolic Bliss yet close to town”
This is a great property. This is a full one bedroom apartment that is completely private over Dawn's house (there is facility to make it 2 BR). As you sit on your porch you look out over a rose trellis which acts as entry to the vegetable garden. Beyond that is 75 acres of trees, creeks, bridges, a small waterfall- just gorgeous. Dawn has even set up some chairs along the way for you to rest and take in the view. Dawn is an amazing host. Friendly but not intrusive. She emailed me to let me know I could grab some lettuce from her garden. We both thoroughly enjoyed our time with her. She had helpful tips for the area and was eager to make our stay enjoyable. A real professional. The apt is small and charming with all you need to be comfortable. The bedroom had nice light - a tree top view. The whole place was clean, it looked as good if not better than photographed. It is so serene here. I was sad we had to leave after only 4 days. The nice part is this apt is just a few minutes from Montpellier which has some great restaurants and the fabulous Hungry Mountain Coop (hope I got that name right). They have a great selection of wine and cheese and with a fridge and full kitchen at the apt. you can treat yourself to some of the local artisan cheese and other products. I would certainly rent here again, and hope to do so when I return to the area. We found it very convenient to many of the places we wanted to visit (we were visiting cheesemakers and artisans). Next time I plan to come with a good book and take advantage of that porch and the property more! Dawn and her house are a splendid retreat.
I cannot say enough about Three Covered Bridges. Dawn is a wonderful host who goes above and beyond for her guests. She actually experienced the unexpected death of a family member just days before I was due to arrive. Dawn made sure that everything was prepared and had someone there to greet me and get me settled, and then came back home immediately after the funeral to see to her guests. The home is just lovely, very comfortable and I felt right at home. The location is close to anything you could want and there are beautiful sights to be seen from every direction! I would not hesitate to recommend Dawn's home and I sure hope to visit again...soon!
“Pastoral and Perfect!”
Dawn is an excellent host that went far above and beyond. Her property is sprawling and well-kept, a real oasis with grounds to walk and wander on just minutes from Montpelier. The separate apartment has everything you need, a comfortable bed and sitting area and the unique architecture of being a historic labor of love. I can't recommend this place more, for it's flora and fauna and true break from the hectic everyday of city life. I can't wait to return.
