“Great view great price!”

Best value in Hanalei. The bathroom is downstairs which we don't mind, but to some that maybe a negative. We will stay again next year! NaPali Properties does a great job keeping you informed and our available if needed.

“Location location location”

What a perfect place for a couple. Views are outstanding from the deck and bedroom. The walk to the local restaurants is perfect - about 4 blocks. Kalypso was our favorite. The ability to access kayak and paddle boards also within walking distance had us on the water daily from the mouth of the Hanalei river. There is no place I would rather stay! We exclusively used the wonderful and private outdoor shower. The garage area was handy for rinsing sand and hiking gear as well as having full laundry capabilities. The bed was comfortable and the bedding high quality. Plenty of room. If you want a perfect location with lots of history (we learned a lot about the property from locals) and a gigantic yard, this is a an unbelievable find. It's not overstated with decoration, which fits the laid back Hanalei attitude. We could stay there for months. Walk through the bushes (multiple private paths) and you are on the most gorgeous beach I've ever seen. We will return to this slice of heaven! The only down side was it was a little warm with the exhaust fan not working but the house cooled off with the breezes daily.

This is a cute in-law unit built over the garage behind the main house. Unit is fully detached and private but is near the main house. The unit sits in the middle of 2 large beachfront lots giving ample views of Hanalei Bay and allowing you to stumble out to the beach in under 3 minutes. The unit is not fancy and doesn't have "high end" touches. It is well equipped, clean, and comfortable - a great, affordable place right on the beach in hanalei. There are very few places like this around (most rentals are monster homes). Great for a couple, maybe one kid. Overall a very sweet home-base in gorgeous Hanalei. Mahalo!

“Very quaint”

We loved the location and accessibilty to the beach. Three items that need to be addressed. 1)Fridge is in very rough condition, could use at the very least a coat of paint. 2)Light and fan above dining table did not work. 3)Ants. Besides the negatives if you want a house on the beach in Hanalei Bay for an affordable price this is the unit.

Response from the manager Aloha to our guests-We are pleased that you enjoyed this fabulous location for your vacation.Thank you for your comments-to address the issues that you mentioned-the refrigerator is in great condition inside-being directly on the ocean at Hanalei Bay the salt air takes it's toll on the paint-we have cleaned the rust spots off a couple of times now-and will probably need to re-paint it at this point. The light and fan above the dining table has a switch that is below the kitchen counter-you may not have found the switch-a call to our office would have solved that but we will let future guests know where all of the light switches are- Ants can be a problem on our island-those pesky creatures are everywhere-no food can be left out if not in sealed containers or they call their friends and let them know there's a party! :) All of our properties have quarterly pest control to keep these island residents at bay-but we all need to be vigilant as well.

“Great location”

The best part of this rental is that it is one of the only beach front property suitable for two people. Most others are gigantic multi- family houses. Modest in decor and kitchenware (knives so dull they are dangerous). Clean but not close to fancy...needs new linens. It is important to note that living space is on the top floor and the only bathroom is on the bottom floor. So up and down and up and down to go to the bathroom. The property manager is wonderful. We locked ourselves out on a Sunday night and she rescued us in 15 minutes...we learned to leave the spare key in the outside lock box. All that said, we would stay here again.

“Heavenly!”

My husband and I loved our home-away-from-home on Hanalei Bay. Location is perfect--you have are really on a beachfront property in Hanalei within walking distance to the downtown attractions. (Note that some rentals say they are in Hanalei when they a are really a 15-20 minute drive north in Haena and others that say they are on the beach when you have to cross a street to get to the beach. This one is really on the beach and in the heart of Hanalei.) The property is spotlessly clean and very well equiped with everything we needed to prepare wonderful meals that we enjoyed on the spacious lanai (deck) with expansive views of Hanalei Bay. Stock up on some incredibly fresh island foods at the Farmer's market and splurge on some fresh fish from the Dolphin Fish Market and you will dine like royalty! Beach towels, beach chairs and even a bogey board were also provided, so you were also well-equipped to take advantage of the amazing beach, and a wide assortment of interesting books are in the unit for when you want to relax on the lanai. Everything in the unit is upstairs with the exception of the bathroom which is downstairs as you enter the unit. This is actually nice because it allows you to use it without disturbing anyone that may still be sleeping. The bathroom is a little small but has abundant shelving to accomodate all of your showering and sunscreen items. There is an additional shower outdoors that you really need to experience. Once we showered out there, we never used the indoor shower again--it was incredible! The ladies at Na Pali preoperties were wonderful to work with and really provided that "Aloha-spirit" before we even arrived on the island. We have stayed at other homes in Hanalei, and we would count this one among the best of affordable (by Hanalei beachfront standards) homes on the beach.

“Hanalei Beachfront”

This place is awesome for couples. The beautiful property is one of the largest on the oceanside and made beach access a joke...You are on the beach! It features a nice kitchen and unreal outdoor shower. The rental comes with beach chairs and towels. Highly recommended.

“Fantastic location with a beautiful view.”

The apartment is very clean and comfortable, with a good bed, Which we consider the three most important things. Well stocked with all the necessities, the only thing missing was a coffee grinder. The property manager brought us her own, on a weekend, which is above and beyond great service. The only thing we did not like was having to go downstairs to the bathroom, a bit inconvenient and unavoidable, since it is built over the garage. There is an outdoor shower that is fantastic, and there are beach chairs and an umbrella, which are so great to have. We cannot wait to return!
