“Quiet apartment in real Florence neoghborhood”

Reviewed 18 Nov 2014

All good - Thank you to Italy Perfect making our trip great. The apartments were comfortable, getting around was easy. Florence was too much to see in the time we were there.

Response from the manager Thank you, we are delighted you enjoyed your stay at our Medici apartment. The Italy Perfect Team

“Charming Florence apartment in nice residential area”

Reviewed 26 Oct 2014

This apartment turned out to be one of our favorite spots. It was comfortable, nicely furnished, and it even had screens on most of the windows (an important plus for Florence). Although the apartment itself seemed like it would be perfect for us (3 people), we were a little apprehensive about the location -- on the back side of the Boboli Gardens. It turned out, however, to be a very pleasant and quiet refuge from the tourist hubbub of Florence. We were in an attractive residential area, a 5 minute walk through a leafy park to the Porta Romana, a little commercial center with shops, pizzerias, and a bus stop. Any bus would drop us off (after 2 stops) in front of the Pitti Palace, a short walk over the Ponte Vecchio to the center of Florence. So if you enjoy combining tourism with a bit of living like the locals do, this is a good place to stay.

Response from the manager Thank you, please come back again soon. The Italy Perfect Team

“Excellent Stay”

Reviewed 7 Mar 2014

Florence was enchanting, made even nicer by our stay in the comfortable Medici apartment. Location is nice. We had a car so the street parking was very convenient. We would stay here again. Good apartment, nice greeter. Great experience working with Lisa at Italy Perfect. Thanks for everything.

Response from the manager So pleased you enjoyed your stay.

“Charming and Very Comfortable!”

Reviewed 25 Oct 2013

The Medici apartment was amazing! It was decorated perfectly and very homey and comfortable. Everywhere I turned I found another perk of the apartment to make our stay even more comfortable. The location was perfect. The area was very neigborhood like. Really felt like a place I would want to live. Close to restaurants, grocery stores, etc. We rented a car for Tuscany day trips and there was ample parking at night. It was very close to the Piazzo de Michaelangelo so we could park all day there and go into Florence by bus without having to worry about the daytime meters (no charge at night). I would highly recommend Italy perfect and I would highly recommend the Medici. We will even go back and stay there again in the future. Loved

Response from the manager Thank you very much, please come again. The Italy Perfect Team.

“Great stay!”

The place was awesome not only location wise but the amenities as well. Close enough to the city but far enough away to be able to get away from it all. We certainly enjoyed our stay and would do it again in a heart beat!

Response from the manager Pleased that you enjoyed your stay! The Italy Perfect Team.

“Nice apartment in a beautiful city”

Reviewed 29 Jul 2013

My son and I visited Florence via London then Paris as part of our European graduation trip. This was our first time to Italy so we didn't really know what to expect. Florence was everything and more than either of us could have imagined. We flew into Florence from Paris and arrived late in the evening. We caught the bus from the airport which took us to the train station, then walked a short distance to a hotel where we spent the first night. The next day we called our greeter and scheduled our time to meet at the Medici. The walk to the apartment from the hotel took about 30 minutes and was very pleasant. The directions to the apartment were very good and it was easy to find. The greeter was on time and showed us the place quickly. Impressions were: *The property was very clean and modern, and really very nice. *Located in a wonderful neighborhood. Super cool. *For one adult and teenager male, the accommodations were probably a little overkill. With the apartment on the outskirts of town, we didn't spend much time there. If you have a little larger group and plan to do some cooking, it's perfect. *We never used a cab as we walked everywhere. It was a 20 minute walk to the river, so it is a little bit of a journey (but a pleasant one). *There were a lot of mosquitoes in the area, probably because of the Boboli gardens, so we weren't able to enjoy the patio and had to keep the windows closed. We were there in June, so I'm not sure how the rest of the months are in these regards. *There weren't a lot of close restaurants, so plan to head towards the river to get some grub or hit the grocery store which is about a 10 minute walk. *Florence was such an amazing place. I wish we had spent more time there and less in Rome. I can't wait to go back. My son and I had such a great experience and it is something we will remember forever. Italy Perfect was really great to work with, especially for Italian first-timers. I would easily recommend them to a friend or anyone.

Response from the manager Happy to hear you enjoyed the wonderful neighborhood and the apartment. Thank you from the Italy Perfect Team.

“Lovely apartment, perfect location”

Reviewed 20 Mar 2012

Working with Lisa to book the Medici apartment was very easy and she provided us with plenty of information in advance so that we knew what to expect when we arrived. The apartment is as charming and well laid out as the photos show. The main bedroom had a very comfortable bed with pretty linens and decent quality pillows. Our daughter loved her room with its two twin beds and good reading light. Both rooms had ample storage with plenty of hanging space and drawers - something not always found in small European apartments. The living room was very comfortable with good seating and the kitchen was perfect with its Ikea style cabinets, dishwasher and fridge. It was very well equipped. We only made breakfast and snacks but it would have been easy to cook real meals. The bathroom was tiny, but there was plenty of shelf space for all our things, and a heated towel rail to keep lots of towels aired and warm. We loved all the natural light - morning and evening, the apartment was bright and cheerful. There is an outdoor terrace which would be lovely in the summer - too cold to use it when we were there in March. The location is perfect, at the end of a traffic free residential cul de sac. It was very quiet (apart from noise from a neighbor's scooter in the mornings. He seemed to like revving it up under our windows!) We had a car and had no trouble parking it on the street just a short walk away. The only problem was keeping enough change on hand to feed the meter. We walked into the centro several times and didn't mind the walk at all - we used the short cut described in the information provided by Lisa. The area was very nice, quiet, and felt completely safe. We were sad when it was time to leave.

“Fabulous Stay!”

This was my second trip to Italy and both trips I stayed in a property managed by Lisa Byrne and Italy Perfect. This apartment has it all! The apartment is very comfortable and fully-equipped. We were greeted by Francesca who gave us great tips on places to see and dine and we were even given a loaner cell phone to use throughout our stay. There is wireless internet service in the apartment and movies and books and maps; not one detail is overlooked! We were able to walk to the center of the city with ease from this location even though there were bus stops very conveniently located to the apartment. There is a great wine shop, specialty meats and cheese shops and a fantastic grocery store nearby. There was also a produce stand at the bottom of the hill for fresh produce daily. Try Mamma Gina's for dinner, we really enjoyed it. Also, check out Central Market in the morning for wonderful food and wine!

Response from the manager Thank you, it was our pleasure. Regards, Lisa at Italy Perfect

“Nice apartment away from the center of Florence”

Reviewed 12 Dec 2011

The Medici is a very nice two bedroom apartment in a residential neighborhood. You will feel like a local staying here but expect to walk or take a bus to the center of Florence. Having a fully stocked kitchen and outside patio area make this 10x better than a hotel room. Also, if your plan is to rent a car, street parking is available and easy.

Response from the manager Thank you, we love the location too! Lisa at
