“Wonderful vacation with this awesome cabin as our base camp!”

Reviewed 22 Aug 2013

My husband and I had a wonderful 2 week vacation hiking in the Bozeman area. The location of the Brackett Creek cabin was perfect, and it was supplied with everything we could ask for. After our hikes we spent most evenings enjoying the deck and the peace and tranquility of the surrounding 100 acres. We saw elk, a moose, mule deer, and loons. We would love to come back and stay again next year!

“Absolutely wonderful stay”

Reviewed 17 Aug 2012

It was an absolutely wonderful place to stay. The area was beautiful and there was plenty of wildlife around. Seeing turkeys, deer, elk, and other woodland creatures was exciting. The house was a good size for a couple of people or a small family. Bozeman is pretty close, and the city has a wonderful co-op and fish monger. Yellowstone isn't that much further away either. The house has a nice oven, outdoor grill, and plenty of cookware. The house seemed to be "lived in," but it wasn't trashy. There are knives available, but I couldn't find any steak knives. My recommendations would be to bring pillows, a camera, a pair of binoculars or spotting scope, and a comfortable pair of shoes. It is a very romantic place that is away from it all including no cell phone service. This is where many people have had their honeymoons, but this is where I proposed to my future wife.

“Breathtaking views! Little cabin in the woods:),:),”

Reviewed 16 Aug 2012

We loved the cabin, the view, all nestled in the woods. We drove up the drive and were "greeted" by a herd of antelope! (Plenty of distance) Lovely deck, beautiful sky, listening to the birds sing made for great morning coffee. We were so glad we took a walk up the property, the view is amazing. The beds were very comfortable, nice furnishings, fully equipped kitchen. Only complaint, it seems someone must have left a load of wet towels in the washer. The towels, as well as, the washer smell funky:( Oh and a couple screen repairs. We were attending a wedding which happened to be 4 drives down the road! So the location was perfect. I would definitely recommend and stay again!

“Absolutely amazing”

Reviewed 22 Jul 2012

The staff is excellent at mountain home, they are always ready to help. Upon arrival at the cabin there were some whitetail deer on the property to greet us. We saw more deer, elk and black bear during the stay there. I do recommend walking on the logging roads behind the cabin, there is so much wildlife activity. Aside from that the cabin is great the views are amazing. We took our dogs and our 4 year old son and they all enjoyed their stay also. The cabin has a remote feel but is close enough to Bozeman that you can go and enjoy all the the town has to offer. Overall, we would highly recommend the place and the mountain home vacation home rentals.

“Absolutely peaceful and wonderful!”

Reviewed 16 Sep 2011

We loved the location of this cabin, it was secluded and in the mountains! Just what we were looking for! We loved sitting by the fire in the evenings or sitting on the deck enjoying the sounds of nature, smell of pine trees, and the absolutely beautiful view! The only down side was the queen bed in the master, was kind of uncomfortable and it could use a king size bed, the room is certainly big enough. Everything other than that was most definitely enjoyable and peaceful.

“Peaceful”

Reviewed 23 Jul 2011

Brackett Creek Cabin is in a peaceful and quite spot yet close to great hiking and Bozeman. We had only been there an hour when a weasel appeared along the creek by the house! We identified over 25 different wildflowers while we were there. It was a great get away for us - our first time to rent a house and we'll definately do it a again. The house was in good order and clean except that there was a lot of dust on the dresser by the bed in the main bedroom and the windows could use a washing.

“Nature at its best-comfortable-wish it was our every day life”

Reviewed 29 Sep 2010

We had a great time. It was our 25 anniversary. Life is so busy. This was the perfect get away. Beautiful land & cabin. Being totally out of reality with just the two of us was amazing. Coming & going when we want to. No people. Very special time. Thanks for making this happen. Hope to do it next year. P.S the shopping was good also.

“Great Mountain Retreat”

Reviewed 23 Sep 2010

My wife and I stayed 4 nights in the home on Bracket Creek, near Bozeman. This was very comforatable and quiet place to enjoy the mountains. We found this home a great place to "base camp" from for lots of different adventures. And to top it off, we had a large male moose in the front yard one morning.

“Tranquility in the Mountains”

The cabin was everything we were looking for: clean and fully equipped, in a majestic setting.

“Brackett Creek Oasis!”

Reviewed 23 Jun 2009

Brackett Creek was truly relaxing and beautiful! The first night we arrived we were greeted by the sound of wild turkeys! We also enjoyed the elk that were roaming on the top of the hill along with the myriad of bird life we witnessed! This is goldfinch haven! The lane and the meadow you see looking down from the cabin is beautiful! The cabin is very cozy with great indoor furniture. The location is also amazing! We drove into Bozeman once and into Wilsall and Clyde Park on another day. We walked the road everyday and hiked nearby Fairy Lake. The beautiful scenery was outstanding. It was amazing on the short drive to Clyde Park and Wilsall to see the Crazy Mountains and the Bridgers at the same time, depending on which direction you looked! We plan to return again!

Response from the manager Hello Anders - Thank you for your glowing comments about your recent stay with us at Brackett Creek Cabin. We agree that it's a very sweet spot. Thanks, too, for your suggestion for more deck furniture. We'll look into it and may make some recommendations to the owners. We hope you'll be our guests again soon! - Suzy Hall, owner of Mountain Home Vacation Rentals
