Our 4th stay at Suite Paradise. Unit appeared to have new carpet and tile. Kitchen was adequate but lacked added extras. Beautiful garden views. Enjoyed being on the second floor. Trade winds and fans supplied all the cool air we needed. Very enjoyable ten day stay!
Response from the manager Mahalo for sharing your 4th Kauai vacation with us... We cant wait to see you for #5!
I am sorry I cannot give this property more than 2 stars. The unit was spacious and architecturally nice, although it can use some updating/remodeling in the kitchen and bath. This would not bother us at all if there was air conditioning. Walking into the unit at 4 PM was like walking into an oven. When I called the office they said that "oh we know. Just turn on the ceiling fans". Luckily we stayed there only two nights and were out most of the time. The beach towels were really nice - large and soft. The problem is that they do not tell you which unit/complex you will be staying at, so you cannot even ask them about the amenities.
Response from the manager Aloha LovestotravelCA, Kauai is a unique little island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Because of its location and small size, we typically have the advantage of our lovely trade winds which provide a natural air-conditioning for our homes. For this reason, most of our homes and condos do not have AC. However, Suite Paradise does manage a limited inventory of beach resorts that are air conditioned. For an extra fee, you can preselect one of these beach homes for your next visit. Just give our reservation department at Suite Paradise a call and we'd be happy to help you plan your next vacation. Sincerely, Liz Parisi firstname.lastname@example.org
“My second home”
Our stay at Suite Paradise #421 was our third time there and it was great as usual. We had a very private lanai off the bedroom which we enjoyed every day.Very nice. The suite was very clean, comfortable and spacious but the kitchen could use more tea towels, cooking implements, plastic containers for lunches, roasting pans, and a flower vase for your beautiful island flowers.
Response from the manager Aloha Duddy, How nice to have another happy return visitor to one of our Suite Paradise resort condos in Poipu Beach. About 50% of our guests are return visitors to the vacation rentals we manage, which is extraordinary in the accommodation field. We're glad to hear you regularly enjoyed your private lanai and that your beach villa was clean, comfortable and spacious. Our housekeeping department is always available to you during your stay in paradise and they can provide any additional kitchen supplies you might need to make you more comfortable in your beach resort vacation home. Sincerely, Liz Parisi email@example.com
“Quiet, comfortable, roomy, a great rental”
Suite Paradise just gave me another great vacation experience, my fifth stay in a Kauai Suite Paradise unit, and I will be back next year. They are the spirit of Kauai, friendly, cordial, and always first class. Mahalo and aloha to all of the SP people.
“Home away from home”
This one bedroom was great. Loved how it had a kitchen with a complementary bottle of wine waiting in the fridge. When we first checked in, we got a little MaiTai to welcome us which I found to be nice! The place was very neat and loved the shower and bath tub combo! Definitely thinking of staying here again.
“Nice and roomy, well equipped, short walk to beach, good view”
Overall this condo worked out well. Stayed here eight nights in august. It was easy to find right off Poipu road, on the second floor, with good view of the green lawn area and a bit of the ocean in the distance. Reception is nearby, quick and easy to check in. Unit was well equipped, kitchen had all sorts of dishes, fridge, microwave, washer and dryer. Was nice to make a quick breakfast and head to the beach. Less than a five minute walk to Poipu beach downhill among the green lawn and flowering trees. No air conditioning, but I knew that going in, and the breeze at night does cool it down enough. During the day it can get a bit warm though if no wind, but it has ceiling fans in living and sleeping rooms. Two lanais for variety. Free wifi was fast. Shower worked well. Noise from road is not loud but can sometimes be heard from bedroom, along with an occasional rooster. Furniture is old, but not big deal. Biggest complaint is sheets and comforter need to be de-stained or outright replaced. Overall I got a good deal at a nice location and had a great time in Kauai.
“Vintage Furniture, Unacceptable Dirt”
We were underwhelmed, given the price. Much of the furniture appeared to have seen Woodstock-era visitors, especially in the bedroom. We've stayed in many places on Kauai for similar money with much nicer/newer accommodations. What really did it for me, though, is the horrible condition of the bathtub. There were hairs from multiple people and dirt in the bathtub door runner and in the corners of the tub. The soap dish was also grimy, as I recall. I'm not a germaphobe by any means, but I could not take one step into that tub before cleaning it (myself) thoroughly. No time to wait for a cleaning crew to come through and probably not do a decent job. I did mention it immediately after to the office staff. They didn't seem too concerned about it, and offered nothing in the way of compensation or remorse. They probably hear complaints on a daily basis, and we were just one more in a long line. Other than that, the grounds were nice, though there seemed to be workmen with noisy lawn-care machines from dawn to dusk. This is the first negative review I've written about lodging on the island, hopefully my last.
“Outdated & Dirty!”
This unit is in horrible need of renovations and updates. Not to mention when we arrived it looked like the place had not been cleaned. There were crumbs everywhere... My wife had to vacuum the entire place and we requested the comforter and sheets be changed out. The TV didn't work and the bed was hard as stone. We stayed 1 night and then upgraded to an ocean view sweet that was renovated in 2006. It was a much better unit and much more enjoyable experience. That unit # was Kahala 624.
Awesome. Great location. Close to everything. Beaches are withing walking distance. Restruant are close and great food too.
“#421 needs a little updating”
This was our 3rd time to stay at Paradise Suites in Poipu. Unit #421 desperately needs the kitchen floor replaced, and the carpet needs cleaned or replaced soon. We just felt it was not clean enough, the rugs and decks included. Could be very nice, just could use a little updating. The complex is great, the location is perfect.
