“Quiet and Cool in the Summer”

Reviewed 15 Aug 2013

We've stayed at different properties during our summer visits to Breckenridge and this is our favorite. Unlike some of the properties it is in a quiet location but still close to downtown. It is on the first floor but has incredible views of the mountain. The unit also stays very cool in the summer and if you want to open the windows it is quiet and peaceful. It has a washer and dryer and a bonus room with a gas log fireplace.

“Fabulous Experience”

Reviewed 31 Jul 2013

My husband and I stayed in Powderhorn a105 Condo by Great Western Lodging in Breckenridge and had a fabulous time. We loved the mountain view outside the balcony window each morning. The jacuzzi tub was so relaxing after a long day of mountain biking. The location is perfect because you can stroll downtown each evening for a wonderful dinner. I highly recommend this condo as an inviting retreat for your family.

“Great Location”

Reviewed 11 Apr 2013

We really enjoyed our stay. Our unit was close to the slopes and to the village of Breckenridge. Both a very short walk. The furniture might be a little dated, but no major problems. The kitchen had just about every utensil you could imagine. We would stay there again

Response from the manager Dear J M Longshore - Thank you for your review! We always like to hear from our guests and this is great information for us to make sure that our units are getting the attention needed and guest’s are experiencing exceptional customer service. I will let the owner know about the furniture in the unit needing to be updated. Thank you for noting! Your review of your stay in Powderhorn #A105 is greatly appreciated and please let me know if there is anything I can assist with for your next trip to Breckenridge! Sincerely, V. “Great condo”

Reviewed 14 Jan 2012

We've stayed in this condo for numerous years. A lot of room and supplies. Kitchen well-equipped. Great Western people are excellent to work with. Very accommodating.

“not bad”

Overall it was a good experience. Only problem was an "act of God" when the power went out. I recommended to the office that they put a flashlight in the unit. (the rechargeable kind). It was difficult to pack up in the dark before we left. Our stay was great. It was a pretty easy walk to the Silverthorne lift. the cabinets had plenty of dishes and pots and pans. Fridge, dishwasher, stove, washer and dryer all worked well. They should supply some laundry detergent. for the cost it would be a nice plus. overall I rated this 4 stars because it was a pleasant stay for my family.

Response from the manager Dear Jim – Thank you for your review! We always like to hear from our guests and this is great information for us to make sure that our units are getting the attention needed. I have forwarded the information on to the maintenance department to make sure there are flashlights in not only Powderhorn #A105, but in all of our units. Our housekeeping department has also been notified about the laundry detergent. Thank you again for the information on Powderhorn #A105 and please let me know if there is anything I can assist with for your next trip to Breckenridge! Sincerely, V. “Such a good experience!!”

We had unexpected family show up and with the den we were able to accomodate them without crowding anyone! We were close to all of the 4th of July activities and were able to walk everywhere with no difficulty. We enjoyed this condo very much! No steps...it is right off the parking lot. We enjoyed the pool which was across the road and down a little path...very nice! Great Western made it easy to check in even though we arrived after hours. Very friendly staff who provided all the information about Breckenridge to make our stay comfortable!

“great location awesome owner”

This was my 4th time staying at a105. The owner Dave Scull has done a great job of keeping this unit in great shape. I will stay here at 2 more times this year. Although it is listed as a two bedroom with the enclosed study it sleeps like a three bedroom. Great value.

Clean, spacious, close to slope and close to town. When we return to Breck we will want to stay at the same place.

“A great location for an affordable price.”

Reviewed 14 Jan 2010

The location was great...just a short walk to the lift and ski school. The condo was nicely updated and spacious. My biggest concern is that the water heater wasn't big enough to support the bathrooms and jacuzi bathtub... we were expecting a facility with a large central water heater. A small issue that is easy to fix is the hall toilet, the handle stuck a lot and required taking the tank lid off. All in all we would stay at this condo again and recommend it to others for the location and cleanliness of the space.

“No peace and quiet”

Reviewed 8 Sep 2009

The weather was perfect for walks and all that we set out to do. However it was impossible to open the windows due to the fact that there was constuction going on at every end of the condo. Tractor reverse beep sounds wasn't what we intended on hearing when we came on vacation. Having stayed at sawmill creek another time--it would have been lovely if the booking person had thought that would not be relaxing, we would have taken the advice and stayed at another property. Not to mention that we stayed at a105 for the view(from balcony???) that is on the web picture. FYI-That view has been altered by other buildings or something. Couldn't find it off either balcony. Actually ended up leaving 2 days earlier than expected. Other factors were involved-illness. But all in all disappointed in the ability to inform us that soooo much contruction was going on. Especially right out the main patio. Orange tape, big holes dug. Clearly in the middle of alot I understand...just would have been nice to know.
