“Amazing view...average accommodations.”

Reviewed 11 Aug 2014

The view from the condo can't be beat! Unobstructed view of a good portion of the Ten Mile Range. Within a good vicinity for walking to town. Unit was nicely sized-plenty of storage space. Appreciated the bathroom & kitchen remodel, however the carpet and furniture could also use updating. As others have stated, the beds were very hard. We could not get the fireplace to work, either. Just an fyi to potential renters, there is no garage parking. Have to park on surface lot and it seemed like there was not enough parking for all guests. It would help if the lot was striped to allow for more efficiency. Found it inconvenient that luggage carts could only be used from lobby to room. There was no way to get carts down to the car level. We are usually VERY pleased with the service we receive from Great Western Lodging. The staff is usually more than accommodating of most any request. We have been using GWL for about 10 years now. However, the attitude we received from the young woman who checked us in on August 6th was not overlooked. She was very short with us and unhelpful. She made us feel like we were a bother. We have never been treated like that by GWL before. We just wanted to note that. Overall, we would stay here again but this unit is not at the top of our list.

Response from the manager Dear Recent Guest: Thank you for your review of your stay in Trails End #501! We always like to hear from our guests and this is great information for us to make sure that our units are getting the attention needed and guest’s are experiencing exceptional customer service. I want to apologize for your experience with the staff at check-in and have been looking into the situation, as I am very disappointed to hear about the attitude received, which is unacceptable. This will be addressed with the staff, as well as with management. This review has also been shared with the Owner about the need to continue the upgrades they have started in the unit, including the mattresses. The Operations Department will be checking on the fireplace – thank you for noting! Please let me know if there is anything I can assist with for your next trip to Breckenridge! Sincerely, V. “501 Trails End, Breckenridge, Colorado”

Reviewed 6 Mar 2014

The location was definitely the best part of this rental unit. We could ski right out from a path out the back door down to the Quicksilver Lift. And it was easy to ski back in each afternoon. We had one request from the staff prior to check-in, and they had it complete by the time we arrived at the condo. We also had one problem occur during our stay which they also addressed promptly. The living room furniture was comfortable although we could never get the fireplace to turn on - not a big deal since we were warm the whole week. In fairness, we did not report that. The beds were very firm almost to the point of being considered hard. As an over 40 year old, that made me sore in the mornings. However, that is merely personal preference. The chest of drawers in the second bedroom was horrible. The drawers didn't slide out well at all, and it seemed like it was on the verge of falling apart. The second bedroom is very tiny, and my husband and I joked that we couldn't both be in there at the same time. Also, I wish that there was a curtain or something across the bathroom area for the second bathroom. I was brushing my teeth in the hall without privacy. Overall though, we will not be staying in this condo again. I would rather pay more and not have a sore back every morning. Again, personal preference; lots of people love really firm mattresses!

“a nice unit”

Reviewed 30 Jan 2014

the microwave on countertop was awkward to use; it was difficult to get into it. There were no instructions on how to operate the fireplace; however, we did figure it out. Main bathroom is extremely small. Unit was clean and close to elevator. Trash shoot was also close to unit.

“Fabulous mountain retreat!”

Reviewed 4 Oct 2013

Loved the space, the view (from the large glass doors/windows and the exterior porch), the well-equipped unit and kitchen, the location. Extremely comfortable and felt like home. The porch view was excellent for watching the mountain sunsets. Will definitely make a return visit to this unit!

“Ski In/Out's rock! We'll never go back.”

Reviewed 18 Apr 2013

The stay at Trails End couldn't have been any better. It all started with the help we received from Jessica [Thanks again], referrals to ski deals, assistance with questions through returning a video we rented but couldn't return because the grocery store was closed. 10 out of 10.

“Really good value!”

A little dated but can't beat it for the money. From condo to lift in 5 minutes. Also really easy to get to Main street in Breck. Second year in a row we've stayed at Trails End. Would definitely stay again.

“Has everything needed for a perfect vacation!”

Reviewed 25 Jan 2012

Great location close to town and the slopes. Living area is more spacious than many other 2BR/2Ba condos. Has plenty of closets and places to store stuff out of the way. Has a nice large round table for dining and game playing. Open kitchen area so the cook doesn't feel isolated. Plenty of amenities. Bathrooms are good size and hall bath has sink area outside bathing area so one child can be using sink area, while another is taking a shower. Clean. Well kept. Nice, little easy to operate fireplace. Beautiful mountain views. Cons: beds are firm...very firm. I couldn't find a spatula anywhere. They had every other kitchen gadget I could possibly need, but no spatula. :)

“Wonderful time at Trails End 501”

Reviewed 17 Sep 2009

We had a wonderful time, we were very please with the facility and loved the view. The location was great and we plan to stay there again in the future. We felt very comfortable and at home in the unit and were very please with it's condition and cleanliness. We tried very hard to treat the property with respect as if it were our own. We felt safe a secure we enjoyed using the hot tubs, hiking the trails and shopping to name a few . We look forward to our next stay.

“Great Place!”

Reviewed 11 Jun 2009

We went to Breck for a quick getaway and found this unit online. It was very nice, spacious and had everything we needed. The location was great also - about a block from Main Street and it was very quiet while we were there. We enjoyed the hot tub, didn't get a chance to try out the pool, but had a wonderful mini vacation. I would definitely recommend Trails End 501.
