“Not what I expected.”

Reviewed 30 Oct 2013

Unfortunately, it was not what I expected. It may have been updated in some spots, but it's old, and felt equivalent to staying at a Knight's Inn. The "fireplace" fan sounded like a really loud, broken bathroom fan all night long! It took forever to heat up, and then when it did, it was so hot, we had to open the window. The tv in the bedroom doesn't have cable and all you could watch was vhs tapes or dvd's from the 80's. The kitchen was nice, and the bathroom was nice looking, but freezing. We didn't arrive until about 7:00, so we literally slept there and left the next morning right at 8:00 to get a better place. Unfortunately, it being a Living Social "deal" is a set up to have to "upgrade" to a better location. That's the second time that has happened, and I researched both places. Do your research peeps!

Response from the manager Dear Lisa: Thank you for your review of Trails End #316! We always like to hear from our guests and this is great information for us to make sure that our units are getting the attention needed and guest’s are experiencing exceptional customer service. I have shared this information about the fireplace fan, bathroom fan and the heat with the maintenance department to check out and ensure that everything is in proper working condition, as well as the Owner concerning the cable in the bedroom and to see if that is something that can be fixed. Thank you for noting! Please let me know if there is anything I can assist with for your next trip to Breckenridge! Sincerely, V. “Relaxing, good location, nice accommodations and suited our stay”

Reviewed 24 Apr 2013

We appreciate the two young ladies that worked in the office over the weekend, we had extra needs during our stay for administrative items - printing documents and faxing, and they were more than happy to assist us and allow us the time to come in and take care of these things. Also - they were both very friendly and pleasant to interact about our trip and make recommendations of things to do.

“ski in/ski out early ski season”

Reviewed 12 Dec 2012

Nice updated unit 316. even though mother nature didn't cooperate with the first wk of Dec 2012, there was enough man made snow to make this a true ski in/out experience. Bed was comfortable. The TV in the bedroom doesn't have cable, it is only for Dvds or VHS tapes. Kitchen was well stocked. Hottub on site both an indoor and outdoor.

Response from the manager Dear Xdog13herw - Thank you for your review! We always like to hear from our guests and this is great information for us to make sure that our units are getting the attention needed and guest’s are experiencing exceptional customer service. I have contacted the Maintenance Department to check on the cable in the bedroom to see if something is not hooked up or if we need to contact the homeowner about running cable from the living room. This is great information to look into for our future guests! Your review of your stay in Trails End #316 is greatly appreciated and please let me know if there is anything I can assist with for your next trip to Breckenridge! Sincerely, V. “Ski getaway.”

Reviewed 28 Apr 2011

The condo was clean, up to date, and right off the hill as described. The only issue we had was that the gas fireplace wouldn't light. I would stay here again without hesitation.

“weekend trip to economical ski in ski out”

Reviewed 20 Jan 2011

The building is convenient to the slopes and town. True ski in ski out. Nice Hot tubs. The unit itself is nice although a bit small for two adults and two teenagers for more then a couple days. Everything worked and it was nice to have gas grill on the porch. The only complaint we had was no hair dryer in the bathroom. A minor issue but with the luggage costs of todays travel with ski/board equipment, it seems most everywhere we stay has one so it is one less thing to pack. Overall a good value and great location.

“Another nice stay”

Reviewed 6 Oct 2010

This is the second time we have used Great Western Lodging to book our stay in Breckenridge. And once again, no complaints.

“Perfect Location”

Reviewed 7 Mar 2010

This was the 5th time we stayed at Trails End and unit 316 was one of the best. The location of the condo is ideal because it offers ski in/ski out and easy walk to town. The unit was nicely furnished and up to date. The issues we had were that the heating unit in the bathroom did not work, and the hot water runs out very quickly. The gas fireplace stopped working one day, but Great Western was responsive and was able to remedy the problem temporarily until it could be fixed after our stay. Also, the coffee maker did not make good coffee and we had to modify the method significantly in order to enjoy a cup of coffee that actually had taste. Those were all fairly minor issues and did not interfere with our enjoyment of the vacation. We would rent this unit again.

“Great location, but small for 4 people.”

Reviewed 23 Feb 2010

Check-in and out from Great Western Lodging's office on Main St. was fast and easy. No problem finding the building and unit. Underground parking was reserved for owners, unfortunately, so we had to park outside, where our car got covered by 18" of snow during our stay. Ski in/ski out was nice, and only a short (5-10 min) walk to Main St. in Breckenridge for shoppong and dining. Condo was somewhat cramped for 2 adults in the bedroom and two teens on the sofa sleeper, but otherwise tastefully furnished and supplied with all necessary ammenities. Gas fireplace worked great to keep us warm. Next time we will probably rent a 2 bedroom unit in a building with available covered parking (for a winter ski trip).

“Ski Lift Location”

Excellent Location for skiing. The condo is average.
