“Great place to stay!”
Cabin 6 was awesome! The newly remodeled cabin is beautiful and having a hot tub on the deck overlooking the river was incredible. After spending the day on the slopes it felt great to soak and listen to the river and watch the big horn sheep and mule deer on the hills behind the cabin. Highly recommend this cabin. The staff at 3 rivers is always very helpful and friendly. This was my third stay there.
“Always a great stay.”
For the last few years we have stayed at Three Rivers two, or three times a year. I just seems to get better and better. The staff are friendly and helpful, the cabins are comfortable and well stocked. This is by far my favorite vacation spot. If you get a chance to spend a little time at Three Rivers, do it, you won't be sorry.
“Fantastic rest haven!”
My husband and I stayed a week in this cabin and absolutely loved it. The cabin was newly remodeled and had everything we needed. We especially live the outdoor hot tub. It us incredibly relaxing to soak while listening to the river flow and looking at the brilliant stars at night. The cabin has a closed in back porch that would be lovely to use in the summer time. The Resort was very well managed. We received our confirmation by email, and they had everything ready when we arrived. Everyone we encountered was very nice and eager to be of service. Three Rivers Resort is conveniently located between Gunnison and Crested Butte. There was plenty if eating and shopping opportunities in both towns, plus the resort has a store and restaurant. We had breakfast at the the resort and would definitely recommend their food. We thoroughly enjoyed driving around the area. It's just minutes to the Black Canon and many other national parks. This is a great place to stay to get away from it all, hunting, fishing, skiing, or any other outdoor sport. They've got it all! We will definitely be returning!
“What a Colorado vacation should look like!”
3 Rivers Resort is what a Colorado vacation should be. Great location. Wonderful accommodations. The staff treats their guests like family and is happy to accommodate special requests. If you like to fish the Taylor River is right out the back door. Fish are everywhere but they aren't stupid...you earn what you catch.
“A wonderful and peacefull experience”
We all had a great time . The service was excellent . The staff were very friendly and helpful. Cabin #6 was amazing, beautiful and fully equipped with everything we needed. The beds we excellent so we had great sleep. The location was perfect and the fall foliage was spectacular.Great amenities. We will certainly be back next year to cabin #6.
“Relaxing weekend in the mountains”
Three Rivers Resort is the perfect destination for a fall weekend in Colorado. It was a trip back in time for us, since we stayed in almont when I was a child. The cabins might look the same outside, but they've aged well! Along with some newer models, there is a wide assortment of housing units to fit any family's needs. The front desk help was friendly and willing to make multiple changes for me as our needs fluctuated before arrival. We stayed in Cabin #13, Disco Midge, which had plenty of room to spread out inside, as well as a fire pit and picnic area in back. We even had a late night bear visitor checking that we were comfortable!
Calling this a cabin is a misnomer! It was deluxe accommodations in our book! I would say the square footage was mislabeled, it seemed like 1000-1200sf. Lovely remodel, spacious full-sized bathroom/shower; wonderful workable well-appointed kitchen. Breakfast in the screened-in porch, lunch on the open patio overlooking the river, dinner at the kitchen bar or dining room table, and post-dinner in the hot tub. The vanity sinks in each bedroom were genius! The whole place was very clean, very comfortable, and well-appointed with towels, hat racks, ceiling fans, outdoor grill, picinic table, etc. There were just 2 of us, but I could see how this could comfortably accommodate a family of 4. And did I mention the sounds of the river lulling you to sleep? We will defintely be back!
“We'll be back next June”
Pro: interior cabin clean, grill worked wonderfully, hot tub clean and hot, good interior layout, ample linens, firm bed Con: could have a bit more privacy around hot tub area; the gravel walkway is a nuisance, pebbles constantly finding their way to cabin floor, ouch!, soft sole slippers are a "no no";
“Our 5th Stay at this Resort”
We've been here 4 time prior and this was our 5th visit. Will not return. There was major road construction and we were very limited in what we could do. I had sent an e-mail to 3 rievers about 2 weeks prior to the reservation date telling them we should have been told about the construction but did not even receive the courtesy of a response. Letting everyone we know who travels here about this experience. Again, this was our last visit.
Response from the manager RJ - I am sorry that you had a bad experience due to the road construction. We respond to all emails that make it to our "inbox" on a daily basis and only a few of us do this. None of us remember seeing a note from you. I wish you would have called. The truth is, we don't always know what is happening with the construction. We are at the mercy of the county and the Feds regarding this project which was decided upon in April and rushed through. It's been a nightmare for us to get accurate info on the project. At this time they are done working in front of the resort but sections of the road will remain closed all summer and fall. I noticed you have a reservation in August as well. I will contact you to see if you wish to keep it. Thanks for your feedback.
“We Didn't Want To Leave!”
We rented Cabin #6 for the weekend while attending a beautiful outdoor wedding at the resort. The cabin was great! We kept the back door open so that the sound of the river filled the cabin. The kitchen was perfect and was fully equipped. The screen porch was wonderful and we even had time to use the hot tub--what a view! Slept like big dogs. The staff were friendly and helpful, ready to answer any questions. We didn't want to leave and won't hesitate to return when we get the chance.
