“Another great stay at 3Rivers Resort”
Our group of hunters enjoyed another great stay at 3 Rivers Resort in almont, Colorado while hunting the third elk season. We have stayed at Three Rivers the last 19 years while hunting. The accommodations are always better than expected and Mark at the front desk always ensures we have a most pleasant stay.
“*Consistancy! Over 25 yrs comming on Labor weekend and you folks”
149 facilitates our whole family comfortably. All of us experience one of the most enjoyable high lights of the summer by our visit to Gunny. Westher some of us just sit and chat in the living room, while the kids hang out in the spa, others may be cooking, eating, play board games in the dining area makes for an exceptional reunion. Fishing, rafting, horse back riding, boating out on the Mesa, walking around both Crested and Gunny...No shortage of things to do! Thank you! Thank you all!!!
“Family Friendly Vacation Home”
My siblings and I, plus numerous family gathered at 3 Rivers for a family reunion. We loved it - we plan to return again in 2 years. This family-owned resort was incredible. The staff, which included the owner and family, were extremely knowledgeable and gave us excellent recommendations on activities. The house was large, roomy, well furnished, and comfortable. It was not your typical rental house; on our inquiry we learned that the owners and family used to live in the house. It has a huge amount of cabinet space (not really necessary for a vacation property) and things like a piano and a built in computer desk that looked well used. The full laundry room complete with sink was a really nice touch. A family with a lot of kids will love this property. There were only a few nit-picky things that keep me from giving this particular unit 5 stars: first, it didn't have satellite TV like some of the units. It did have a TV with HD antenna, but given the rental price of the unit I think it should have a satellite dish like the premium units on the river two of my siblings stayed in. It wasn't a big deal as I wasn't there to watch TV but had it rained I might have been looking for it - also, no place to play Dvds and the way the TV was hung on the wall it would be difficult to use a computer. If this is important to you, choose one of the other units. The kitchen was well stocked with countertop appliances, but there were some critical things missing. Given the potential number of people staying there, there should be more. There were only two wine glasses and one 1 cup measuring cup. No measuring spoons. I bought some and left the measuring cups for the next person. The house was spotless, but the pine furniture and other fixtures show wear and tear. The cabins on the river I saw were in much better repair. You should also be aware that this house is right across from the office. Traffic wasn't bad but some people may be bothered.
“Three Rivers was perfect for our family reunion!”
We held our family reunion here at Three Rivers. With a big pavilion to use and a large lawn next to it, it was a great location. The fishing, river rafting, zip-lining and hiking all made for fun activities. Besides using the outdoor pavilion, our family rented House 149 which was awesome for gathering since it has a yard of its own, with a picnic table, plus a patio and table, also basketball court, swingset and jacuzzi. It's also located pretty close to the river which was an additional convenience. The staff was always very nice and accomodating. We loved it and would definitely recommend Three Rivers!
Rental unit is clean and well maintained. Staff delivered two meals during our stay. Food was delicious and staff was expertly trained. Thanks for a wonderful experience. We'll be back.
We ride dirt bikes in the area, had a wonderful time and coming home to this Vacation home 149 was very relaxing and enjoyable to talk about all the days adventures.
“Great vacation home!!”
We had such a great time at Three Rivers this year. We come there every summer (and have for several years now). We needed a bigger place this time and rented vacation home #149. It was just exactly what we needed! Enjoyed the hot tub, the laundry room was great, the front porch was perfect, as was the yard. The service was wonderful too. If we needed anything, just a quick walk across the street and we received what we needed. My only suggestion would be to have a mop for the kitchen floor.
Absolutely wonderful time ... it was a last minute decision when we found the place ... we stayed in one of the largest rentals that was fenced in ...our dogs loved it I don't think they stopped playing the whole time we were there ... we would definitely stay again and I would recommend this place to everyone
“We hope to return!!”
We stayed in Vacation Home 149. When we arrived the home was very hot, but opening all the windows cooled things down fairly quickly except the loft and sunroom on the east of house. Kitchen is large and well equipped for rental. Loved having laundry room. The house is large but bedding arrangements were not ideal for our family. My 33 year old 6 ft son and his wife slept in tiny bunk beds. One bedroom is sort of a closet with daybed and trundle. In summer with no window it was too hot to use. Main living room is very dark...not good for playing games, doing puzzles etc. One minor complaint, was when we asked for iron and ironing board - we were there for a wedding - and were told that there was only one for the whole resort and it was 'reserved'. We paid approximately $400 per night for our stay, so I thought a simple amenity like an iron should be readily available, although I do understand that the typical guest might not need one. The hot tub was not clean and jets didn't work very well, but it still felt good after hiking & river rafting. 5 Stars for the River Rafting experiences - - the guides were friendly & fun and kept us all safe. Pavilion and shelter & lawn areas were ideal for outdoor, summer wedding festivities.
“Great Place and lots of room.”
Thanks for providing a place for us fishermen to stay while catching big fish up at the Hog Trough. Thanks 3 Rivers
