Nice clean unit in a scenic setting but you are hemmed in like sardines with respect the other units. About a hundred dollars a night past the true value. I will not contribute again.
It was a perfect little cabin, for two couples get away! Easy to get to. Great fishing in the area. Short drive to both Crested Butte and Gunnison.
“Three rivers resort”
This is a very nice cabin. My family of five had plenty of room and it is comfortable. It does not have a hair dryer, but one was quickly provided. It does sit very close to the mountain/ hill behind it, which you cannot tell from the photo. We has a nice stay and would recommend to anyone heading to the Gunnison area.
The cabin was very clean and well appointed. It was very hot upstairs and a fan would have been helpful
“What a wonderful get-away!”
If you are looking to get off the beaten path and still have some of luxuries of home, this is the place! Great cabin, roomy, spotless and everything we needed to spend a few days on the Taylor River. The employees were extremely helpful and friendly, grounds were well maintained (even though they had just had snow, things were perfect!) and the cabin was wonderful! We were extremely impressed with the comfort of the cabin, all the beds were great, (no broke down sides like you find in most places), there were pots, pans and utensils so we were able to cook our meals and the dinnerware and flatware were very nice (ceramic, JCP dinnerware!). Full size fridge (with ice maker), dish washer, micro-wave, electric range with oven and a flat screen TV with plenty of channels if we opted to channel surf. We had a firepit, charcoal grill and picnic table at our site, all very well maintained. The firepit and grill had great grates so we were able to cook outside a few times. If you are tied to you cell phone and internet, this might be a challenge as we found our cell service was iffy and internet service is provided, but limited. We were not at all unhappy with this, we wanted an out of the way mini-vacation and did not want to be bothered with phones calls and work problems, our cabin at Three Rivers Resort fit the bill perfect! To add to this great little gem, you'll find many wonderful fly fishing holes within walking distance! We already have another stay booked and I'm sure before that date rolls around, we'll sneak another stay in! I would highly recommend Three Rivers Resort, great place, centrally located between Gunnison and Crested Butte and you couldn't find a greater bunch of owners/workers/every day folk! An FYI, there is not a blow dryer provided, so if you need one, better pack one. Have fun, it is a great place!
“A great place to stay”
Three Rivers Resort has many cabins of different sizes and prices. The cabins are clean and in good shape. The owner and staff always treat us great and are available any time if we need something. Great place to stay. Even though we rented the cabin this time for hunting, we also got in some fishing and had fresh trout for dinner. Hard to beat the location.
We have rented this cabin #26 several times,if I was to build my own cabin this would be my prototype. We have had no issues with the rentals,we have stayed at 3 rivers for almost 20 years
“Great cabin...beautiful views!”
This was our first time staying at Three Rivers, and so happy we did. It's a small, quiet community, with a quick, easy drive into Gunnison, or Crested Butte. The cabin was very spacious, and clean, and the staff were all very friendly, and accommodating. Looking forward to going back next Summer, and being able to stay a little longer!
“Great Biking Location”
Great central location for Mountain Bikers...and the outdoor restaurant has the best burgers around!
“Nature and the outdoors are what drew us to the area; our cabin”
Having a clean, rustic cabin for bed & bath time in the midst of a gorgeous outdoor experience was awesome! This is a lovely cabin, situated in a great location, with an awesome view. It is fully stocked with housekeeping necessities, needing the addition of just a few grocery items of your choice. We used the microwave, coffee pot & refrigerator, but enjoyed dinner at the Smokehouse patio next door and at Ol'Miner's Steakhouse in Gunnison. We chose not to cook, but we had everything we needed if we'd chosen to cook. Caution! the controls across the front of the stove must be watched carefully - it was much too easy to turn them on accidentally! We especially enjoyed the loft skylights for viewing the starry nights and the gorgeous sunrise, but most of the window closers do need maintenance. The loft with two queen beds would work well for young guests, but as adults, with the sloped head space, we would have appreciated a single king sized bed. Some type of low chest or drawer storage upstairs would have been nice. Families might appreciate the Dish TV setup, but a bench or small table/chairs on the covered front porch would add more to the ambiance of this cabin's location, since the picnic table in the yard will not fit on the front porch of Cabin 26 if it rains. Had Comment Cards been available in the cabin, they would have been used in the spirit of improving a wonderful experience for the next guests.
