“Get A Way”
This was our first trip to the Gulf and it now seems it will be a trip to the Gulf and the beach every year. Would love to stay in Gulf Towers each time also loved the 1 C condo. Plenty of room great view , just a great experience.
“Good for a last minute budget getaway”
This is a decent place to stay for those last minute unplanned getaways when you don't have a bunch of money available for a nicer place. The unit isn't completely terrible, but could definitely use some TLC. A relatively small investment could make a big difference here. For example a new coax cable from the wall to the TV so that you could watch TV without having wiggle the cable to get reception. The white grating on the ceiling is rusty and could use some paint. The base boards under the sink in the bathroom need to be repaired. It would be nice to have some new hard-wired ceiling fans without the chain/cable draped along the wall and ceiling and plugged into an outlet. My biggest issue with this unit is the open grates on the ceiling. The water / drain pipes from the other units are right above it. All through the night you can hear every flush and shower as the water runs through the pipes. It's surprisingly loud and kept me from a good sleep. At first I thought we had a massive leak. On the positive side, the unit does have great water pressure in the shower. The balcony is nice and large. The sliding doors are nice to be able to close when people in the pool get loud at night. The boardwalk to the beach was very nice and in good shape. The location is great and the staff at Bender Realty were a joy to deal with. I'm not sure I'd stay in this unit again, but I'll definitely look for other properties managed by Bender.
“Gulf Towers 1 C”
Good location. Quick access to beach and many quality restaurants. Sofa sleeper is HORRIBLE!!!
“Great Place to Stay”
The property was very clean, very neat, easy accessible and in great shape. The property had easy access to the pool and to the beach. Pool and pool area was clean. Security was on the property during the night so no real noise from other tenants. Easy check-in and out with the property management group - excellent service.
“Gulf Tower Stay”
Loved the location and the glass doors to the balcony.
“The bed was comfortable, very clean, but rust on register”
It was great for two people, but some touch up paint on refrigerator and trim on ceiling in bathroom would have made the place look great. There was a mold smell on the patio but smelled great inside the Condo.
“Great location but amenities are awful”
The condo is in a great location but the furnishings are terrible to say the least. The television is at least 15 years old and there is not even a DVD player....only a VCR that is older than the television. The stove and microwave probably date back to when Jimmy Carter was president. This unit is in dire need of upgrades(I suggested such upgrades when I stayed in this same unit in 2007). I will not consider this unit ever again until changes are made.
Lovely. Condo a little out dated but clean and well maintained. We will be back.
“Great stay for the money”
Our stay was great at Gulf Tower. Our room faced the beach and had a great view of the ocean. The room we stayed in was ok but needed to be updated, like the furniture and carpet. I didn't really like that the bathroom had a plastic grate ceiling that you could see the plumbing and bottom of the floor above the room. Be prepared to bring your own towels and toiletries because they do not replace what has been used. A little inconvenient but we would stay there again.
“Went for Hangout Fest”
I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised with this condo. We had originally booked a different condo that was closer to the Hangout Festival. There was a problem with the owners of that condo, and we were moved to this one. I was a bit upset because we were staying with another couple, and we were now sharing a studio apartment. There was ZERO privacy. It would be a great condo for just one couple or a small family, though. I also have to say that Bender was very sweet about it, and refunded me some of my money for the inconvenience. I was also scared when I saw the pictures of the place. The pictures DEFINITELY need to be updated. It looks much better in person. It is very very clean, but it needs to be updated. There is no dishwasher, which was a bit of a pain. Also all of the dishes were ceramic and glass, which were not allowed at the pool or anything- I'd recommend bringing some plastic cups and paper plates. The location was AMAZING. Right on the beach. I really enjoyed the patio in the mornings. The pool was lovely, and the beach was perfection. If you are renting this place for Hangout Fest, know that this is quite the walk! We were told it was a mile away but it was actually 1.4 miles, which means that its about a 3 mile walk every day. So be prepared! Overall our stay was much better than expected, but the condo could use some updating and it was a little further than I had hoped for.
