“Get Away”

Reviewed 9 Sep 2013

This was just what my husband and I were looking for, very quite and out of the way. JUST PERFECT!

“3rd trip to Elk Springs”

Wonderful as always. We were happy we could bring our doggie w is on this vacation!!

Wonderful. A couple items to be improved upon: Once in Gatlinburg the amount of miles from one street to another seemed to be off a bit. Also, there were bees in our cabin...I got stung by one that was in my jacket.

“Smoky Mountains Family Reunion 2012”

Reviewed 17 Jul 2013

Wow! What a beautiful place! Our family occupied 5 cabins located close together (of course, we liked Sweet Dreams best, as each other family liked their cabin best). The kitchens were large enough and well-equipped so that group meals could be prepared. Each cabin was spectacular in its own lay-out and mountain-themed decoration. Pool tables and hot tubs were at each cabin. Ours even had foose ball table. Best yet ours was pet-friendly and our pug was able to vacation with us! There is plenty to do and see in the area. However, a swimming pool was not readily available; a community pool would have been a perfect addition to the wonderful, beautiful reunion location. So glad we chose Elk Springs!

“Our stay at Sweet Dreams”

Reviewed 3 Jul 2013

Sweet Dreams was a very spacious cabin. Plenty of room for the family, and the pool table and Foosball kept the kids occupied, especially while it was raining. Only thing I would have liked was to have a tarp over the grill area. I think the cabin would be a nice cozy place in the winter, and hope to visit again one day. So glad to have had the chance to stay and would definitely recommend it.

“Sweet Dreams Cabin ~ not worth the money.”

Reviewed 23 Jun 2013

First I would say, Katie Dearborn who took care of our reservations is a definite asset to your resort. She is very professional, and fast to respond to emails. BUT, the Cabins were too close, I wanted something more secluded. I specifically asked about steps into the cabin, since there was not a photo of the outside of the cabin. I have MS and high or multiple steps are difficult. The cabin had high steps, making all my trips in and out of the cabin a struggle. The Trolley stop was close enough to walk too, as I was told. Although the cabin was orderly, the tables, countertops, dressers, were all dusty. We used the Hot tub once, the next time the water smelled Sour and could not be used. I called, and was told someone would be there that day at 3 to drain, and clean, no one showed up. For the cost of the Cabin, I expected something better. Overall, I would say our stay was "OK", although I would not return. Next year I will try a different resort.

“More than Sweet Dreams”

Reviewed 16 Jun 2013

We stayed in Sweet Dreams with our son and had a most wonderful time. The cabin was clean, nicely furnished and more than we ever dreamed. We loved Gatlinburg, but actually had two days we stayed "home" and just enjoyed the comfort and beautiful views from our porch. We could really relax having our dog with us and not in a kennel. We all agreed, we will be back and most likely back in Sweet Dreams!

“Hampton Stay”

Reviewed 29 May 2013

We loved our stay at sweet dreams. Everything was wonderful and well kept. My only suggestion would be to update the tvs and bed sheets/covers. We will definitely be back!

““Awesome cabin and a wonderful getaway!!!””

Reviewed 9 Apr 2013

This is the first time we visited Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, TN and enjoyed it! We stayed at the Elk Springs Resort a little away from the busy Gatlinburg strip which was very relaxing and peaceful. We had booked the 'Sweet Dreams' 2 bedroom cabin with a pool and foosballl tables, DVD plays, fireplace, gas grill in back, and hot tub in the back. The bedroom and bathroom in the bottom floor was a bit cooler compared to the upstairs but wasn't bad. The design of the HVAC for this unit needs to be better, perhaps having a separate unit for the upstairs and downstairs. Currently, we can't turn the thermostat up beyond 67 degree F as it will get unbearable in the upstairs area but then the downstairs unit will be very cold. We did wish the temperature between the upstairs and downstairs was a bit more balance out. Dan Dearborn was very patient in answering our questions, very helpful and gave us a 25% discount for the days that we booked the week of our trip. We will definitely visit Elk Springs Resort again and perhaps try the 'smuggle inn or firefly lodge' during our next visit:)

“great stay”

Reviewed 14 Mar 2013

check in and out was very easy. we did not have to deal with any people. the doors have keypads so there are no keys to deal with. the hot tub was very hot when we arrived. the only problem was there was one thermostat for the tow story cabin which was set downstairs making the upstairs really hot (the whole "heat rises" thing. they did give us space heaters but we slept downstairs bc the upstairs would get too hot even with the heat set at 63..
