“Cant beat the sun”
It was a nice place needs little up dating and maybe a good detail. But over all it was nice. We had a problem with the washer and the managing manager handled the problem quickly. We where very satisfied with the quick response.
“Kauai was amazing, no words can describe the beauty of it.”
We had a wonderful time in Kauai. The unit was clean, had everything there to use in kitchen and bathroom, and poolside. The washer/dryer was convenient for laundry. The view was wonderful and the ocean breeze was refreshing throughout the apartment. It was centrally located on the island to drive to northern and southern shores plus could walk across the street for shopping, etc. Maintenance was handled in a timely manner and everyone was pleasant. Definitely will refer to friends and family.
“Relaxation on the ocean with the waves crashing”
My wife and I arrived at noon and were able to check in right then since the unit was ready. That was very welcome after a long day of travel. The 2BR had all we needed with the full kitchen and washer/dryer. There were 3 fans to go with the 3 ceiling fans so that provided adequate airflow along with the constant breeze from the ocean. A beautiful view that we never grew tired of gazing at during the week of our stay. The pool and hot tub were great, and we came just in time before the pool area was being renovated for 6 weeks. We chose this location because of the proximity of Safeway and Foodland across the street and down 1-2 blocks, and there were multiple restaurants within that area as well. If you like pizza, check out Bobby V's. Awesome! We can't wait to come back the next time we need to get away and have complete relaxation!
“Clean, breezy condo with a great location”
If you are seeking a luxury condo, this isn't it. If you are looking for an inexpensive, quality, clean, convenient condo suitable for a couple, or a small family whose kids can sleep on a pull-out couch, this is great for you! We had no problems checking into Kapaa Shore. Our condo was impressively clean, more so than some hotels I've stayed at. Yes, some of the decor is dated, but it is apparent the owner replaces furniture when needed - and the couch looked new! This condo has everything you need, plus opening the bedroom closet to find beach chairs, boogie boards, and mats was a real plus! There is ample parking. Our neighbors were quiet - we didn't have any problems leaving the windows open - I think being an end unit helped too. The view from this condo is nice - you get a beach view and pool view. The beach is not swimable because it is coral, but a 5 minute walk takes you to a public beach. Kapaa Shore is also at the start of a 4 mile bike/pedestrian only path which was a real treat. You are within walking distance to restaurants, shops, and grocery stores. Pizza Hut and Taco Bell are right across the street - don't knock it when you are exhausted and just want a pizza! We did have an issue with the washer not draining, but we walked next door to the property management company and maintenance was in our unit and fixed the problem that day! I was very impressed by their friendliness and customer service. This is an excellent location if you are planning on visiting all the sights in Kauai because you are centrally located. I recommend this condo to the average couple or small family looking for a clean, budget friendly alternative to a hotel.
“Fine, could have been better”
We know these are older condos so we understand why the carpets were somewhat dirty and the shower knob was very hard to turn upstairs. Someone came and fixed the know but the carpets of course stayed dirty. The pool in the complex was disappointing because it was so small. Otherwise we really enjoyed the condo and would use it again (maybe a different one in the complex) if we come to Kauai again.
Response from the manager Mahalo for your review. We are happy to hear you enjoyed the condo and glad to hear that maintenance fixed the shower knob promptly during your stay. As for the pool, it is a good size pool approximately 20 feet by 40 feet long with hot tub and seems to accomodate everyone quite well. Our carpets are cleaned on a regular basis and encourage our visitors to remove their footwear while in our properties as is the custom in Hawaii. Overall we are glad to hear you "really enjoyed the condo".
This is probably sixth vacation trip to Kauai for me. Great central location, view, and convenience to local stores. Particularly liked having own washer/dryer. Would recommend this unit to anyone.
We enjoyed the condo #227 at Kapaa Shore Resort. It wasn't "marble counter tops and fancy appliances" but it had everything we needed in it. Very nice to have the W/D unit in the apartment! Location is great.
“Great sound and view of the ocean.”
We have been at this great resort many times because of the location & friendly property managers. We've stayed in different 2 bedroom condos in bldg B. This time we were in a 1 bedroom condo in bldg C. We didn't realize the 1 bedrooms don't all have a washer/dryer. This one did, thankfully. It's good condo if you don't mind the noise of kids in the pool and in the hot tub below. We probably would try a condo in bldg a the next time.
The view and location were the fabulous. The condo was comfortable and had all we needed. It is getting a bit run down and time for a reno as we had a few maintenance issues. But other than that it was great. Very clean, the pantry was well stocked and the grounds were beautiful.
“Great family holiday”
We were meeting up with our son, his wife and our grandson in Hawaii and needed a place that could accommodate us all. Rentals were actually difficult to find, so getting #303 was quite a relief. The rental agency was helpful, sent us information as needed and arranged immediate repairs on a few small maintenance issues. The apartment was well supplied and included basics such as liquid soap, laundry detergent and sauces, herbs and some packeted goods in the pantry. A good selection of pots and pans, kitchen electronics etc. Some of the plates are chipped and there wasn't a full complement of smaller tumblers and wine glasses but we managed. Apart from a collection of sand behind a bathroom sliding door (fixed through the agency) the place was clean, though salt has affected many of the metal components in windows, fans etc. It was a comfy place for a family stay. The book shelf with novels and books on Kauai and the reefs, animals etc was appreciated. The downstairs barbecues at the resort were well used by everyone and clean. The pool and spa were appreciated. The lawns of the resort were kept immaculately as many of the apartments are owned by a timeshare company.
Response from the manager Mahalo for your review! We are glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay at Kapaa Shore 303! Oceanfront and central location makes this property a popular rental so we are happy we were able to accomodate you! We do hope you'll be back! aloha!
