“Lush Gardens & Tranquility”
OK, we may be somewhat biased since this is our third visit to this property. However, it never disappoints. The house is well suited to multiple couples offering good common space with a large dining and kitchen spaces. Each bedroom suite offers privacy and ensuite baths with large showers and also a private outdoor hot tub. Whether one four couples, you will be comfortable and share a great, relaxing experience. It is a short walk to the beach and the owner, Karl, provides beach chairs and coolers. The view from the dining/living area is great and the muted sounded the surf is a wonderful way to fall asleep or wake up. The location is near ideal being close to Kapaa for immediate shopping and also convenient to Lihue (and the Costco for large groups). The owner lives nearby and is most responsive to requests or repairs. Check out VRBO for more info on this property. WE will be back again.
“Garden Oasis in anahola”
This was our second visit to this property and we enjoyed a blissful three weeks in this lovely, comfortable home. The owners make you feel welcome and stand ready to answer questions or correct any oversight in the home as soon as it is noted. Ideal for families with adult kids or several couples, each unit is on-suite. The main part of the home can easily handle 8 to 10 guests in the kitchen and dining areas. The privacy, lovely gardens and the solitude are great. The beach just down the street is almost like your own private spot. The location is also reasonable to shopping and restaurants while still providing that Island privacy and seclusion many seek. We would certainly consider this place seriously on our future visit to Kauai.
“Staying in Paradise”
We met our kids here for 9 days so there were 4 couples on the property. The accommodations are beautiful and spacious with a wonderful kitchen. All 4 units are self contained replete with own bedroom, bath, sitting room, and kitchen, the Royal Garden Suite having the huge kitchen and dining area. The location is superb but a rental car is needed. A beach is close but you need to drive to the more popular ones. It is close to Kiluaea and Kapaa and about 16 miles from Lihui.
“Kauai Gardens is as good as it gets!”
It was our 9th visit to the Kauai Gardens and as always, we were not disappointed. Peaceful, relaxing, comfortable, and beautiful all in one. We love the place! If you ask us, there is no other place to stay except at the Kauai Gardens when visiting the beautiful island of Kauai. See you next year for our 10th visit!
As usual the Boerner-Rule family enjoyed your most beautiful home and garden which really takes your breath away every time you see it. The kitchen is a joy to work in and all in all a wonderful home for several families. The only thing that all of us agreed on were the beds. We all felt they need new mattresses, or even some gel foam topers from Costco would help, as the beds are so hard we were forced to put cushions or whatever we could find on them in order to get a good nights sleep. For all the loveliness you have provided in so many ways this definitely would need to be fixed before we would choose to return. Dave and I thought that maybe because we were older that could have been the issue however, even our 22 year old complained. Nonetheless a truly dramatic garden and home gave all of us another trip to remember. Regards to everyone, Barbara/Dave/Judy/Mike & Matt
“Unmatched location and lodging amenities !”
We loved the view out of the dining room doors and we loved enjoying breakfasts on the garden patio. We loved the fluffy towels and spotlessly clean home. The kitchen was fully stocked too. The home felt open and airy and just right for one couple. (The Home can be converted to more than meet the needs of two individuals. We had never stayed in the anahola area before but found it to be quiet yet close to dining options and our favorite beaches We will definitely be returning next year!
“Luxury Kauai house”
The website pictures are not able to fully convey the beautiful furnishings and high quality woodwork and paneling. The house is very comfortable and has all of the ammenities necessary for a relaxing, luxury stay with plenty of privacy inside and out. The beaches are a short walk, and the gardens surrounding the house full of interesting and exotic plants. Three couples enjoyed a wonderful vacation.
“Tranquil garden setting”
We had a fabulous stay here. There were 7 of us. We had plenty of space and privacy when we wanted it. The kitchen and dining area are big enough for a large group. Nicely decorated and amazing gardens. The walk to the beach was only half a block.
“Extraordinary house with gorgeous views and plenty of privacy fo”
Kauai Gardens is a rare, magical property lovingly (and personally) landscaped by the owner, who wholly embodies the spirit of aloha. Intriguing pathways wind through the lush grounds, showcasing a variety of blooming bromeliads, orchids, and much more. The common area of the house is spacious and airy with pitched thatch ceilings and expansive ocean views. Each of the three suites has its own sitting/dining area, walk-in closet, and spacious bathroom as well as a private deck and secluded yard space. It's easy to "get away" while still on site, stealing an hour's nap or a long read in a chaise lounge while others visit in the common area. We dined in almost every night, and as the chef, I found the kitchen abundantly well equipped. It was a joy to prepare meals there, and I never felt crowded even when others were coming in and out of the kitchen. Guests at Kauai Gardens enjoy the convenience of a central location--just a few miles up the road from groceries shops and restaurants of Kapaa town--but the property itself is quite secluded. There's a lovely private beach easy walking distance, and local beaches just down the road. If you're the kind of traveler who abhors the stuffy trappings of resorts, but who appreciates fine decor, top-of-the-line appliances, and high-end linens, then you will love Kauai Gardens!
Response from the manager Mahalo for your review. We do agree wholeheartedly....Kauai Gardens is a hidden gem; close to town of Kapa`a yet tucked away. Easy drive to the north shore as well. It is a rare property for sure due to it's beautiful design, privacy and landscaping. If you are into plants, this is the place you want to stay at. Privacy? No problem! Mahalo and we hope to see you back! Aloha!.....
