“Fantastic house, great location, relaxed and friendly town”

Reviewed 11 Sep 2013

Three families comfortably shared this house in Manzanita, OR. The amenities and decor were WAAAY ahead of the usual beach house rentals. It's just one house away from the beach, with hot tub, media room, library, jaw dropping master bath with sauna, game room, media room, fire pit, and more. The nearby 9-hole golf course and driving range was a big hit. The property management people were well organized in advance, and just a phone call away after we checked in.

“Family Reunion”

Reviewed 29 Aug 2013

Fifteen of us gathered for a yearly reunion. The fire pit was a popular spot and the ocean view was wonderful. Sleeping arrangements were difficult and eight people sharing the downstairs bathroom was a challenge. So glad the garbage truck came down the driveway to pick up mid-week or we would have had an overflow (and that's one of the many fines we could have encountered). Coming from Idaho, Spokane, Seattle, and Camano Island, we had six cars. There was plenty of space on the street for the two that couldn't fit in the driveway. The three car limit worried us, but wasn't necessary. Overall, a beautiful house, clean, and a wonderful place to have a reunion!

“Beach House Stay”

Had a great time. Great size house. Close to the beach. Hot tub got cold every morning only real down fall. Overall had a great time. Thanks

“Our stay at the Beach House”

Reviewed 18 Aug 2013

was everything we had hoped for. The game room and home theater were a hit! The views wonderful, especially in the kitchen and upstairs on the balcony. We were able to use the fire pit for two nights. I heard people on their way to the beach complimenting the design. The pictures on the web site don't do the house justice. Really it was like walking into the pages of Coastal Living magazine. We were a party of 15. We are definitely thinking about coming again. Thanks so much!

“A Great Place to Gather in Manzanita”

Reviewed 29 Jul 2013

Generally very good. The sunken fire place and couch, should be looked at for safety. The steps are partly slanted and carpet covered. My wife slipped on the steps, and fell hard into the pit. Thankfully she wasn't hurt. But the owners should definitely look at the safety aspect of that sunken pit on the living room area.

“Overall great stay”

Reviewed 28 Jul 2013

We were excited that this house was available just a few weeks out from our trip this summer. The location is excellent and the house worked well for our family. As a few others have noted, there are some things that are dated in the house, but it was more of a minor inconvenience than anything (finding a light switch that worked, maintaining temp in the hot tub, jets in the master bath). One appliance wasn't working when we arrived on a Sunday and the management company had someone out the next morning to fix it - so no problem there. We had a one year old with us and had to baby proof a few things - not a problem with one kid, but it could be a little overwhelming with lots of toddlers. The view from the kitchen is spectacular - great if you're going to be spending time in cooking meals.

“Winter reunion”

Reviewed 14 Jan 2013

Got our kids and grandkids together - it generally went pretty well though the access code for the lockbox didn't work and we had to wait 20 minutes or so for someone to show up and let us in. We were there to just spend a few uniterrupted days together in comfort and that went very well! Sauna was great, and conversation pit was our main hangout. Thanks for a great time.

“Very Good, not great”

Reviewed 4 Jan 2013

We had a fine time in this house, but were certainly bummed to realized upon our arrival that despite verbal assurances that the hot tub had, indeed, been fixed, it was broken and unrepairable for at least a week. Beside that exception, all in all, the house is what it's promised to be. We were puzzled that the downstairs fireplace was not allowed to be used. I would return, but I probably wouldn't pay the more expensive holiday rates again.

“September in Manzanita”

Reviewed 11 Sep 2012

Everything was great and the stay was perfect. The only constructive input I would offer is that the house NEEDS many upgrades! All light switches, main TV and stereo are from the 80's at best! Plus a rental house of this type needs wireless internet. Other then that, it was a great stay and a great house. Thank you!

A pleasant stay, start to finish.
