“2 week stay”

Reviewed 19 Apr 2013

Our stay was FANTASTIC. This is a beautiful unit, and has a fully stocked kitchen with spices, dishwasher soap, even a washer and dryer. It also had nice extras such as extra towels, beach chairs, umbrella, boogie board, snorkel gear, beach towels and coolers. All you need is your bathing suits and lots of sunscreen! It also had a baby crib and toys for little ones (even though we didn't have any). It was clean and tight. Excellent service from Rentals Maui!

“Pleasantly surprised with the property.”

Reviewed 8 Mar 2013

We found the property perfect for our purposes, and it did exceed what I expected from the location and cost. I was not expecting it to be the Kea Lani - and was impressed by the nicely maintained grounds, amenities, view, and the beach - not one of Maui's top but you can still swim, play in the sand and whale watch. My only comment is set your expectations with the price and location and be realistic, and you will be pleasantly surprised. Also, the demographic of the guests were generally 50+, so I can imagine that if I had older kids playing loudly in the pool etc. they may feel unwelcome. It was very quiet and everyone was friendly. It is also located walking distance to some handy stores and good restaurants. We drove around the island and visited other beaches, so the central location on Maui was perfect. We had a great stay, and would definitely recommend it or return ourselves.

“Great Deal”

Fabulous weather, view, beach access, location, and condo (great condition, lots of beach stuff, & well equiped kitchen.) Lawn sprinklers go on briefly at 5 AM, which can make sleeping in difficult for a light sleeper.

“Property Manager”

Reviewed 21 Aug 2012

We found the property manager a little rude. One of our guest was a smoker and she thought that smoking on the parking lot was ok. There was really no good designated place to smoke. Another guest said she would not go back to this condo because she had a "run in" with the property manager too. Also there was no good beach front.

“Kihei Stay”

Reviewed 20 Aug 2012

The unit was very clean and nice; it was a big plus to have a washer and dryer in the unit as the complex's was being remodeled. Nice pool, the beach was nice but too much seaweed; the grounds were nicely kept. The area per se is ok but very convenient as restaurants, gas stands, and supermarkets are within walking distance. If you want to just chill at the pool and don't care too much about the beach, this is the place for you, but if you want to move around Maui, most places are a drive away.

“wonderful”

The unit was wonderful - the wifi is iffy, so that could be better. The washer/dryer in unit was a huge bonus. This will be a place to return to in years to come.

“Best Vacation”

Reviewed 2 Feb 2012

This was our first visit to Maui and our experience was fanastic. The condo was clean and had everything we needed. This condo was centraly located so we had easy access everything we wanted to do. Management and the owner was very quite to assist us with any issues that arose. We will definitly be back.

“A Great Place for a Great Vacation”

Reviewed 5 Jan 2012

I really enjoyed the stay at Waiohuli Beach Hale. I thought we were in the best unit as it was on the ground right in the middle facing the ocean. It was my dream vacation. We could walk to any store we needed. The location was the best. I would definitely like to stay there again. Thank you.

“3rd Stay at Waiohuli Beach Hale”

Reviewed 16 Dec 2011

This was our third time to this property and unfortunately, it was the least enjoyable. There were some concerns that we addressed with the rental company and the owner. There was a major bug infestation to the point where we couldn't really prepare food on the counter without washing it with soapy water first. They were in the cupboards, on the countertops, in the microwave, everywhere. Eventually traps were brought and within a day the bugs were gone, but I was a little disappointed that this hadn't been done prior. There were 2 garbage bags, 1 roll of paper towel, and dishwasher soap for 3 loads, and I didn't find that appropriate considering we were staying 13 days. I don't feel I should have to buy that stuff when I am paying. Also, the second bedroom had no closet space to hang clothes, which is unacceptable in my mind. The one bonus which I loved was that there was a washer/dryer in the unit. That was great and although it doesn't make us for the units shortcomings, it definitely helped. Other than the bugs and the lack of products available, I might consider staying in this unit again if those issues are addressed.

“Diamond in the Rough”

Reviewed 5 Aug 2010

This condo is centrally located and is beautifully landscaped. The views of the pool and the ocean (especially at sunset) were breathtaking. It was terrific to have a washer and dryer in the unit. Need to place the info book out on the coffee table (to be seen easily) We never found it for 3 days and yet it held important information about Kihei. Love the Hawaiian plastic drink glasses too. Where can I get a set? Need some more keys since they are necessary to get into the pool area and out of it. All in all, it is a great place to stay.
