“Kihei Akahi D-112”
Great location opposite Kamaole Beach II. No ocean view from this unit but the beach (with lifeguard approx. 8am-3pm) is just a short walk down the driveway. Surfboard/SUP/kayak rentals a short distance away (nearby beach). We had to reset the router (easy online task- see website on router label) to get wireless but there was a lan line in condo also. A recommendation for a little island history: the $10 pass for Bailey House (Wailuku), sugar museum (Puunene - on the road to Kahului) and the Wo Hing museum and Baldwin house in Lahaina.
“My Kihei experience”
Overall we were very satisfied with our stay and would be happy to stay here again. We would recommend that the suite have plastic plates for use in the pool area. The place was clean but the carpets could use a clean.
“Had a wonderful stay very pleasant accommodation”
First time in the Kehei area we usually stay in Kaanapali it was wonderful experience
“July 8 - 15, 2012”
This was our first trip to Maui and we had a pretty positive experience. The condo was in a great location, across the street from a beach and close to food and other amenities. The only set back was the bug issue we dealt with the whole week we were there. Unfortunately that was the dark cloud of our visit. Utilizing the kitchen was not even an option which was disappointing because we were hoping to be able save money by not eating out every day. Hoping our next visit will have a more positive spin in this area.
Response from the manager All complexes in the tropic have bugs and that is why each complex has quarterly treatments. While on Maui, guests should always keep their food items put away.
“Perfect Option to Spend your money having fun”
Although this is located on the back side of the complex, the beach is right there, and the its your normal 1 bedroom condo. Made it very easy to get everywhere we wanted to go from there.
“Near Kamaole Beach”
The complex was very close to Kamaole beach which is a wonderful beach. It also is in walking distance to restaurants so a great location.
“TIme at Kihei Akahi”
The general experience was good because the location of the property, the swimming area, and the general feeling of the condo was nice. If I were to give constructive criticism, I would encourage new sheets that are 100% cotton, with a high thread count, that match the bedspread. What defined the stay in a negative way were the bugs - there were cockroaches all over the kitchen and even in the sofa and living room. I had to get one out of my purse, and I felt I could not cook there, so I bought all of my food already made, and put everything in the fridge -even used containers that I threw away daily. Other than that, the place is adorable, and a perfect size. I appreciate the time I spent there. Thank you.
Response from the manager This condo was sprayed after these guests left. In the tropics bugs can be a problem at times. This complex is sprayed quarterly but occasionally a guest will not allow the fumigator in because of allergies. The result is that the condo will be skipped for that quarter. We sincerely apologize for this guests experience and I am so glad they loved everything about the condo.
“Unit was clean but needs updating in bathroom, kitchen & carpets”
Coldwell Bankers were promt and easy to work with and would deal with them again
