“Great place to stay”
We had a great time! The condo was great & it was nice to have both a beach & pool/hot tub so close. We would definitely stay here next time!
At our arrive, I filled out the registration paper and left it in the file basket as instructed. On the last day, when I returned the keys the registration paper was still there. Was the manager taking a vacation as well?
“Wonderfull vacation getaway”
we enjoyed everything about the complex , great use of the barbeques, pool and hot tub all in a central location, we enjoyed the driest weather of anywhere in Maui even when it rained in the Kannapali area, Great stay thanks so much.
“Kehei Vacation Rental”
The property was very nice. The room was in need of updating including touch-ups to holes in the wall, appliances, etc...
“Two weeks at Kihei Garden Estates #A102”
As we arrived late (10:30 p.m.) we picked up the keys to the unit in a box outside Unit H104. We never met or heard from the lady in charge - when we checked out, I knocked on front and back doors but no one answered, so I dropped them in the box outside door. (Rather unusual, I thought) The dishwashing detergent consisted of about 3 large golf ball sized clumps which we pulverized in order to use. There was only 1 wine glass - a few other glasses that didn't match in size or any other way. We purchased and used plastic cups. The blender was obviously dirty, so we did not touch it. The bathtub/shower had alot of mold on the caulking. The faucet in the bathroom sink needs to be replaced - very hard to work. The bed was VERY uncomfortable and no overhead light - could be connected to the ceiling fan. On the upside, the icemaker worked well, as did the ceiling fans and a/c. The decor was ok - not fond of carpet in the tropics. A cooler would have been nice to take to the beach as well as beach mats, boogie board, etc. The beach chairs worked, but the beach umbrella was pathetic. We've stayed in other properties which provided those types of amenities (comparable price for units). All things considered, I doubt we would return to this unit.
Very nice condo, quiet, relaxing. We have been to Maui 10 times and have stayed here 3 times. We love this place!!!!
We love Kihei Gardens! This one bedroom condo is wonderfully equipped and a lovely location. Our only recommendation is to upgrade the mattress or offer a pillowtop for those who don't like firm (really really firm) mattresses. The kitchen was fantastic and we lived the proximity to the pool and the grill. Thank you also for accomadating our last minute extension...staying an extra night wasn't planned, but was enjoyed!
“Condo in need of upgrading before next rental.”
This condo needs some upgrading; 1. Curtains, all stained and not easy to open or close,BR curtains able to see through out side at night and you are on bottom level facing street. 2. Living Room - Furniture broken or missing parts. 2. Kitchen - Burners not working on stove, dried food on cabinets and paper towel holder. 3. Outside garbage disposal hard to find...there a week and only given 1 extra liner for garbage and 2 rolls of toilet paper. 4. Air-conditioner too load to hear TV...you can't have them both on at night or I think neighbors would complain. 5. 6 dried flower arrangements in living room and 3 pictures or more on every wall is way over board.
Overall we had an enjoyable stay at Kihei Garden Estates. However, we have some observations that will improve the stay for future guests. The hide a bed had not been made up for our son & there were no sheets or pillows available for us to make it up despite our having specifically indicated a third party in the unit. The unit also had not been properly cleaned. The mattress cover of the hide a bed was dirty; there was a dirty plate under the hide a bed & dirty wine glasses in the cupboard. The furniture was dated & worn & the unit was carpeted which I don't feel is appropriate for a vacation unit near beaches as it makes thorough cleaning difficult. I would suggest the property management employ a more professional cleaning staff & suggest to the owners to replace the flooring & furniture. Despite these issues, the property manager made every effort to correct deficiencies & was very helpful. The location of the unit is very good as it is close to beaches & amenities. There is no view as the unit faces into the central communal property. The communal grounds & pool are well kept & the other guests, owners and staff were very friendly and helpful. We would recommend this unit noting our reservations about cleaning & the dated furniture.
