“Great experience”

Reviewed 31 Aug 2013

Great experience. If we are staying in Manzanita again, I would definitely choose an OceanEdge property.

“Feels like home”

Reviewed 23 Jul 2013

This is the third time was have rented Salish. It just feels like home. It is a little nicer each time. We very much enjoy our interaction with Julianne and her staff. See you next year. Larry and Audrey Bennett

Response from the manager Salish is home to these Minnesota visitors--who were married on Manzanita Beach a couple of years ago! We are always happy to have them back with us.

“Fireside view, easy beach access”

Reviewed 27 Jan 2013

I brought my work with me for the week, and ended up sitting by the fire in the living room and watching the waves in between sessions on my computer. That could be habit-forming. And whenever the mood struck me I could walk right across the street and be on the beach. It was just what I wanted.

Response from the manager We're so glad you enjoyed this cozy, beach-front duplex! If you have to do computer work while you are visitiing Manzanita, the view and the gas fireplace sure help make your task more pleasant.

“Nice, comfortable, friendly holiday house”

Reviewed 1 Sep 2012

It was a very good house. Facing the sea and close to the main road...I wish there was internet connection and kitchen was bigger, except for that, we had a very very good time.

Response from the manager Salish has a fabulous view of the beach and ocean, just across the street! There IS wifi at Salish so it's a pity you didnt try to access it. Oh, yes, we'd all love a bit larger kitchen there and we are always surprised at all the food prep that goes on with the convection oven, the crockpot, the microwave, and so on. Of course, the full size fridge and the BBQ grill help. Do come back soon.

“Great Location”

Reviewed 26 Aug 2012

Could not ask a better location. Great ocean view with helpful staff.

Response from the manager So glad to have you in Salish and hope you hurry back to this perfect 2-bedroom, 1-bath (shower only) oceanfront duplex unit. The little kitchenette is overloaded with appliances that makes preparing meals easier than you would ever imagine for a kitchenette.

“July 4th Celebration”

Reviewed 5 Aug 2012

Had a great time.

Response from the manager Salish has one of the best decks for watching the Fourth of July fireworks! Right on Ocean Road and even though it is the ground floor apartment, the groundfloor is above the street by about 8 feet-so you look over the tops of cars and walking people, right to the beach and the surf.

“Great times!”

Reviewed 26 Jul 2012

Don't forget: kite, beach chairs, beach towels, matches, s'mores supplies, energy to build night fire on the beach, ability to stay up until it gets dark to get the last s'more

Response from the manager So glad you enjoyed Salish. One added bonus is the large utility room (size of a one-car garage) shared with the other duplex--where you can leave your beach toys: bikes, boards, strollers, chairs. All of it. In the utility room is the shared washer/dryer (new washer summer.2012) and a big sink to rinse the sand out of everything. Leftover charcoal and starter from previous renters is there for your use. This room keeps your own beach toys out of the weather and safe. You will see shelving with some big pots (think crab!), muffin tins, pie plates and cake pans--all for your use.

“Salish”

Reviewed 22 Jul 2012

The location was fantastic as were most things about the property. The unit was very musty smelling. One bed had a center valley that was very ncomfortable and the pillows were pretty wimpy. I would rent it again but would bring my own pillow and some type of airfreshner.

Response from the manager Whew--wish we had known about some of these things while you were still here! New pillows are in the house already! The mattress pad is a thick feather pad--seems it needed to have a good shaking and rearrangement of those feathers. And the musty smell is gone--lots of airing out took care of that! We do appreciate feedback and work as fast as we can to remedy the situation! So, we send you our thanks.

“Lovely stay”

Reviewed 6 Jul 2012

We had a great stay here at Salish, and though the kitchen was a little tight, the view and living room areas made up for it! We had a very relaxing time, and look forward to staying again...especially the fireplace is calling our name for the winter season.

Response from the manager Salish has a tight kitchenette. The fridge is full-sized. There is a large convection oven on the counter and some people roast chicken and later bake pies or cakes! There are loads of small appliances including a crockpot, an electric fry pan, microwave, blender, toaster, coffee maker, bean grinder and more. The squeeze comes with an industrial-strength 2-burner hotplate. That's probably why so many people use the outdoor charcoal grill. The second part of the squeeze comes with a single sink, no dishwasher. Wish we could have everything here-but as you said the view, the player piano, and the new 39-inch flat screen TV make up for a lot.
