We love this rental unit. It's spacious and has been remodeled throughout. The view from the lenai is beautiful and the location is closed to all great snorkling beaches/bays. We can't wait to come back and rent the same unit!
“Great Location, Great Price!”
We've stayed at Hololani three times so far and will return. We appreciate that it is a smaller community, right on the water, and close to Kaanapali, Napili, Kapalua, and Lahaina. The units we've stayed in are well appointed and very comfortable and the price is wonderful. The management and staff are friendly and attentive. One caution: Go with the understanding that you are spending time in a COMMUNITY of people who have spent their hard earned money to be there (both owners and renters). As a community ALL are expected to be respectful of others; owners, renters, and staff alike! There are rules each person must follow; they're good rules designed to protect your health and to maximize your vacation experience without imposing on the relaxation of others. Please follow the rules. An open note to the owners: You have elected to employ property managers to run your resort. Please rely on them to interface with errant guests (owners and renters alike) rather than taking control yourselves. Management: When interacting with guests please identify yourself and your role at Hololani. This can go a long way towards gaining compliance with requests. Guests don't always know who it is who is correcting them. Lastly, be patient and understanding with your Hololani neighbors. They, like you, are here to have fun. Thanks to the owners willing to rent their units out. Your sharing has allowed many people the opportunity to enjoy Hololani.

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! Beautiful condo, well kept, and well maintained grounds.
“A nice 7 days”
Only had one issue of major concern. Floor lamps had mercury vapour lamps which give off harmful residue when broken. This did happen and we were concerned about our 1&3 year olds playing on the carpet. These lamps should not be used where they are susceptible to breakage and exposure to children
“Bossung Family Visit”
There was a bit of a disconnect during the new years due to a personnel issue. When we arrived, Wendy, was absolutely amazing. She was professional and helpful with all aspects of our stay. She was great and made up for some shortcomings in the interim.

The main down side is we were in B building which faced north. We did not get any sun on the lanai. Future rentals we will ensure there is sun. Regards. Blaine
Very nice, the staff did a great job, we stayed there 14 yrs ago, it was great then and now. Had been updated. We like the area and the convience of the underground parking. We rate all of the Questions as a 5
“great location, right on the water, excellent condo”
great location, great places to walk, close to many beaches in West Maui, Condo is short walk to little store and 3 great restaurants, quiet condo, right on a rocky shore with turtles one metre from shore and whales in migration season right out the window, super underground parking. This condo is very comfortable and I would always stay again. It has the atmosphere of the condo being one's own place. The condo itself is set up with all the needs of a traveller.
“Whale watch January”
This was our second stay at hololani and overall we were very happy with it and will rent there again and give it a good recommendation . However we did specifically ask if there was a beach and we should have been told that the shore has been eroded and there is no direct beach access in January . Also we were also told there was wireless service throughout the property and it was very poor at best with spotty inconsistent coverage . There was an internet cable in our room. But most people are using ipads and or there phones when on holidays so that cable does not help much ... wireless within the unit appears to be necessary. I think the property pictures should be updated to show what the beach looks like just so people know what they are getting. The whales and turtles were still amazing .... The property management was going through a change when we got there and no one was in the office for the first few days and we had trouble getting anyone to answer our questions , after that someone was there full time and they were very helpful . THANKYOU.
Overall, our stay at Hololani was wonderful. Our unit B403 had been completely renovated within the past couple of months & was very tastefully done with high quality materials. Even the furniture was new. (As I write this Jan 8/13 - I see the new pics are not online yet). We were very impressed. We wanted to be literally a stones throw from the ocean & we were. Although there is beachfront erosion directly in front of Hololani which prevents you from using it, it really is just about a 30 foot walk to the left of the property to be on sandy beach. The view from our balcony was breathtaking and provided endless enjoyment watching whales in the distance, sea turtles often swimming 10 feet from our shore & amazing rainbows. We were very impressed with the early morning (6am)staffer who took apart each gas BBQ on the pool deck and cleaned them every morning from top to bottom. We thought the condo was well situated to all conveniences. 3 minutes to Kaanapali & 10 minutes to Lahaina. I advised the condo office/housekeeping that the vacuum in the unit is broken. Much needed with sand from beach at times. Also, although there is a communal box at office for boogie boards, couple of noodles, etc, it was empty most of the time. That's the only thing our unit was missing...couple beach chairs & 2 boogie boards would have been nice. We bought a $30 boogie board in town at Costco. We intentionally left it in the condo hoping it would stay in the condo for future renters. Fantastic holiday, we would return to this unit.
