“Security issues”

When we arrived at the condo, the door was unlocked and one key was laying inside. Someone was somewhere with a second key. I expressed my concern to the rental company and the lady who answered said it was a safe area and didn't seemed concerned about the second key issue. She said we could get one on Monday. Three hours after we had arrived and settled in, 2 guys came to the door, unlocked the door, identified themselves as housekeeping, gave me the second key and asked if they could get their beer they had left in the freezer. We were stunned that someone actually opened the door on our time. My wife was scared to death. He said they were spending the night on the beach. I'm sure if we had not been home, they would have come in and gotten the beer and we would have come home, not knowing who took the beer and been quite scared. After the office supervisor found out about all this, he called and apologized and I told him the story and tried to emphasize what a serious situation it was and how it could have ended and felt we should receive a partial refund. He continued to apologize, said the housekeeper(s) had been fired and said he would see what he could do for us and would be back in contact on Monday after they had a meeting at the office. He never called. I had to call him. He said he thought about the incident some more and said they would refund us one night's stay. They did do that but we felt like that didn't come close to representing how serious the incident was. Anything could have happened to us. The condo has only one lock on the entry door and we had to keep a chair propped against the door, especially not knowing if the housekeeper might come back and do something if he did indeed get fired. All units should have no less than 2 locks on the entry door. The condo was beautiful, the area was nice and the beach was awesome. We would like to rent it again but we won't be going back for obvious reasons.

Very pleased with the location of the tower. Beach was not too crowded like other spaces in Panama. The condo was very nice and decorated pretty. The kitchen could be a little better stocked. Overall, good experience.

Long beach is a great place to stay if you rent from the right people. I have stayed here previously and had a very nice clean condo. Definitely not the case with 1103 in tower 2. Worst part of it was the condo had bed bugs. It also was in need of a lot of maintenance. Paint was peeling off the walls in every room. There were several pieces of broken furniture. The whole side of the refrig was rusted. Ice maker didn't work very well. Dish washer not was not screwed to the cabinet and was falling out every time we opened it. Kitchen not well stocked with needed things ie. no scissors,, blender etc. Overall this was the worst condo I have ever stayed in. They said the manager would be in touch with me but I have yet to hear from management.

“Dirty, Dirty, Dirty”

A picture is worth a thousand words. Look for pictures posted by Empress30 on Trip Advisor. The condo was in need of a major overhaul. There was exposed pipes because of missing tiles over the bathtub in Master. The carpeting was filty!! The sofa is old and dilapidated as well as the bedroom furniture. The toaster and coffee maker were rusty. The microwave door and oven door were smeared and you could write with your finger in the smear. It appeared that several areas had been prepped for painting. I was told by Matt that they intended to paint the end of the month and that the paint that was missing in several areas did not make the condo unlivable. The condo shows well on the pictures. The balcony and the location were wonderful!

“air conditioning "a must"”

We did not have air conditioning for the first 4 days. After our first full day without air, we called the maint. # on the rental agreemt. They told us that we would be responsible for the $140 serv. call. The next day we called a different phone #. Cindy said they would get someone out there immed. Then late the next day (after 6 more calls..all with recordings) maintenance showed up & fixed a sensor on one of the doors that had fallen off. By now our salt shaker was a solid, cereal boxes, napkins, tissues were almost damp from the humidity. Not to mention how uncomfortable we were. It took WAY to long to fix a problem that we were not even aware of (sensors). I had contacted my credit card company to start a dispute on the 4th day of no air conditioning. We enjoyed the rest of our stay after this MAJOR issue. The views were amazing, love the location. Mattresses were incredibly hard.
