“excellent location in a fantastic small town”

Reviewed 8 Aug 2013

We booked through olive tree travel and found them to be very professional in all aspects offering there services when required but not being to pushy. We liked the pool and the quality of the sun beds and exterior furniture, The bbq was of excellent quality as well. Nice comfortable furnishings inside although we found the beds to be on the firm side. The air conditioning was good but the top bedroom still struggled a bit with the heat. The location in terms of the town was very good but be prepared for a 15 mins walk not ideal for the less mobile, however taxis were easily available and very cheap. Kalkan itself was fantastic over 200 resturants to chose from we eat out 8 times the food was amazing. The people were friendly and helpful We would recommend Kaklkan and will return

“Wonderful Villa”

Reviewed 18 Sep 2012

Stayed at Lycia Villa for 10 days - had a great time. We'd only ever stopped in Kalkan for breakfast about 8 years ago, so we only had a vauge memory of the town with the villas set on the surrounding hills. The villa is in a great location - great views - 10 minute walk to bars/restaurants and another 5 minutes into Kalkan town. We knew which ever villa we chose would be a taxi ride back - this was 13TL - about £4.50. The Villa is really well equiped - both inside and out and the pool is just brilliant. Reaaly really clean, nice size and we were getting the sun from 8:00 - 6:30, shade also available. Villa is big and loads of room outside by the pool and varous balconies. Good and very prompt information about booking and we also booked a car for the duration of the stay through Debbie / Olive Tree Travel, which was a lot cheeper than using the traditional companies. Kalkan is great, loads of really good restaraunts and large and varied choice of food. Stayed in Kas before, so had a couple of trips back there as well as Patara beach and the gorge. Had late flight back so spent the day at Kalkan Beach Park (free boat from the harbour or you can drive there) - good option as good (and reasonable priced) food and the have showers so we freshened up before coming home. Realy enjoyed the stay and as mentioned, lovely villa in a graet location - would definitely recommend.

“A lovely, hassle free, relaxing holiday...”

Reviewed 30 Aug 2012

This was our second visit to wonderful Kalkan and four years later we enjoyed our holiday just as much as the first time. The town hasn't changed too much other than completion of the road whilst the quality, value and friendliness of restaurants remains excellent. Either I am more wealthy or the exchange rate worked in our favour this time - likely the former! The villa was great and met all of our expectations. It was clean and functional with wonderful views and sufficient space for 9 of us. The balcony and roof terrace were used just as much as the pool area. The pool cleaner and house cleaners were very efficient and friendly. Pick up and drop off at the airport ran like clock work. I would definitely use Olive Tree again should we want to return to Kalkan.

“A fantastic place to stay”

Reviewed 12 Jul 2012

We wanted a break away to relax & switch off...we also wanted a place to fit our large family & somewhere with good decor. Lycia delivered that and more...we loved the pool, the garden had shade & the sea views were really pretty. The villa has great layout & lots of space to fit a family of 8. The twin room was a lovely surprise... The villa is very close to the shops & restaurants & is situated in a good spot on the hillside. The villa agents were really accommodating & the company very professional. Very satisfied customers :):):)

we stayed at this villa last week in may 12 first week June the villa is absolutely fantastic the views are amazing its clean and well equipped the pictures do not do it justice its very spacious we were a family of 9. The pool is just right not to big and not to small we really did not want to leave we booked with Olive tree travel and Dealt with Debbie Warwick who was so friendly and helpful and really made our holiday so easy to book had every thing arranged for us and if we had a question she emailed us straight back Kalkan is a beautiful town every one is so friendly it has something for everybody's budget the shops stay open really late so when you have had your meal you can look around the harbour is another amazing place to see there are lots of trips to take and i would recommend aBI tours again really nice people and fantastic sightseeing trips at a reasonable price

“Very enjoyable stay”

Spent an excellent week at Villa Lycia with a group of 7 friends The villa was well appointed with excellent outdoor space. Fantastic views over Kalkan. Photos of villa are representative of what you get during your stay. Excellent access to local shops, ideal for self catering and barbeques, local butchers/fishmongers also very accomodating makes self catering very easy. Lots of eateries within Kalkan, all the ones we tried were very good. Travel time from airport is about two hours drive Found a hire car very useful, however plenty of taxi's availble should you need them

“Sorry to leave!”

The villa is a wonderful holiday base, really well appointed with all the mod cons you might need for your summer break. We had nine in our party and it still seemed extremely spacious when everyone was around the place. The pool is one of the cleanest we've ever used on a holiday and was cleaned daily during our visit. I didn't mind the walk down into town and a taxi back up the hill was no problem. Kalkan is a smashing little town and I can see why people return many times to holiday there. The locals were extremely friendly and easy going and we were made to feel welcome wherever we went. I was amazed by the number of restaurants and we didn't have a bad meal in any of the ones we chose to eat in. If you have kids Kaya is a great venue for a meal, the food is nice enough, but the resident magician Kadir is superb at keeping everyone entertained. I also really liked Tomato. Not one of the bigger terrace style eateries, it's quite modest looking actually, but for the price the food and service was exceptional. We had a wonderful day out on a boat with Captain Lucky on the 'Kartal'. He recently spent a fair amount updating his boat and it shows. A fantastic lunch was provided and the sea breeze gave a welcome break from the heat on dry land. Special mention must also be given to Tekken down at the Cinar Bar near the banks. A lovely host with a smashing family and a mind of useful information and contacts. All in all we had a fantastic break and we'd definitely consider a return visit.

“A luxurious, relaxing holiday with outstanding sea views”

From the very start of our dealings with Kalkan Villas our experience was excellent. Very swift and efficient communication and very helpful with transfer and car hire arrangements plus any other relevant advice on staying in the area. A lovely spacious, clean, well equipped villa with beautifully maintained pool and a fabulous view over the entire bay. To have the view though you sacrifice closeness to the town centre and harbour which was a 15 minute hilly walk (however we were told about this and a taxi ride back was easy and cheap). I would still rather have the view though! The turkish people are very warm and helpful and lots of lovely places to eat but you do meet a lot of other english tourists in the evening all eating out too. We loved the villa and views and people and food. There was hardly anything we didn't like and if we had to make a criticism it would be that maybe a gate on the villa front would be useful to prevent some of the dogs wandering through. Cats and dogs are a part of the town and are friendly and did not bother us, but they could be a surprise for some people and a gate may reassure visitors. All in all though a wonderful place to be. The sun, sea and beaches were amazing too - very turquoise, clear and clean and lots of them too and there was plenty of space on them too.

“Fantastic Holiday in a Lovely Villa in a Great Location”

Reviewed 7 Jul 2010

Eight of us stayed at Villa Lycia from 21 June through to 5 July 2010. The villa was everything we hoped it would be. Well designed and furnished the villa flowed perfectly and worked for us extremely well. Three of us having been to Kalkan before were excited to show our friends what a great place it is and the villa was a great start! The Turkish people are wonderful and very kind. The food is delicious, not only in the restaurants but also everything we bought to cook on the BBQ. The butcher's shop next to the Smile supermarket and the prawns and fish from the fish market behind the taxi rank were yummy. As far as trips are concerned, in addition to visiting the surrounding villages and places of interest we would recommend a boat trip for a day - try Sunset 1 with the captain Yalcin (good value and a very tasty lunch. Also for something different try the canoe trip, this was enjoyed by everyone who took part. On our list for next time (didn't manage to get there on this trip) would be the Patara Horse Riding Club for a ride along the beach on their lovely horses. Abi Tours (Kalkan Villas agent) were extremely helpful with any queries we had. We had one of our best holidays ever at Villa Lycia and would not hesitate in recommending it to anyone!

“An amazing, relaxing first class experience!”

Villa Lycia is a beautiful property with stunning views. Every home comfort has been thought of. The property is well presentated. I travelled with six friends and everyone of us said that we would return. I can not fault the service we received from Debbie the moment we booked it, the transfers with aBI travel, down to the maintenance of the pool and surrounding gardens. 1st class I would definately recommend
