“Fan"blinking"tastic”

I can whole heartedly recommend Doruk Villa, Olive Tree Travel and Kalkan. We stayed here in august, a party of 10 (6 adults and 4 children), the villa was clean and massive plenty of space for all of us, especially in the bedrooms, although the attic room does have a slopping ceiling and did get rather hot. The outside area was beautiful, comfy sun lounges and outside dining area. The pool was the main focus for the kids and even though there is no shallow end, they loved it. The youngest member of our party (4) actually learned to swim during our stay! We were greeted by the cleaners, who came every other day and were most curtious. The agent from Olive tree came the following day, giving us plenty of useful info. Olive tree provided excellent service throughout, booking our transfers etc. Kalkan itself is a beautiful, unspolit resort, ridiculously pretty, with lots of charm and an abundance of resturants to suit all pockets. Be warned Kalkan is very hilly and I mean very, the location of Doruk was great just on the edge of the old town, not too far up the hill. We pre booked a boat trip with yildiz boat and would definitely recommend using them, the day was fantastic, with the boat completely to ourselfs, bliss. We also pre booked a jeep safari with abi travel and again would highly recommend them, the guide was brilliant and my daughter made a friend for life. Kalkan beach is quite disappointing, v shinglely, so take the dolmus to patara beach which is stunning and not very far away, about 20 mins on bus. We all agreed this was a brilliant holiday in a beautiful part of Turkey in a luxurious villa, with wonderful locals, you could not ask for more, we feel completely spolit, can't imagine many other places matching up to this.

“Wonderful!”

We stayed at Villa Doruk for one week, 2 adults and 4 teenagers and had the most wonderful holiday. The villa had everything and a bit more that we could possibly want - lots of space, a beautiful swimming pool and jacuzzi and views of Kalkan to die for. Villa Doruk is only 5 minutes walk to the shops and harbour (quite a steep climb back mind you, but good e exercise!) so we did not need to hire a car which made a very nice change, there are so many tours to pick from but transport is included in all of them so there really is no need to have your own. Three supermarkets are only 5/10 minute walk away, the best being 'Yaldi' which has all the supplies you could possibly need whilst you are away. Taxis are cheap and will wait for you while you shop without charging you for your shopping time. The people are so friendly and the service in restaurants is excellent. We found aubergine on the marina to be the best restaurant we tried so we spent the last few meals there - lunch and dinner! We took a boat trip with Sunset Tours which were excellent and I would highly recommend. The agent for Villa Doruk in Kalkan was really helpful and sorted any minor problems we had quickly and efficiently. A couple of negatives would be they only have a small bin in the kitchen so rubbish accummulated quickly but someone comes in every morning to remove and bed linen/towels were changed mid-week. All in all a wonderful holiday, we would definitely return.
