“Southern Charm in every way.”

Reviewed 10 Jun 2015

My husband and I stayed at the Mrs Wilkes from June 6th to June 9th 2015. It was the best stay I've ever had anywhere. It was so charming and will make you feel just like a local. It has everything you need to make your stay so comfortable. The restaurant was so amazing from all the staff to the overwhelming amounts of food. We are already planning our next trip and look forward to returning. Thank you so much Kathy and Robert St. Petersburg Fl

“A lovely historic home!”

All equipped kitchen and living space. We enjoyed our stay and easy access to historic Savannah, not to mention the southern meal at Ms. Wilkes' House!

“Crazy street sweeping hours”

Reviewed 26 Nov 2013

We loved our stay in Savannah, the apartment in Mrs, Wilkes house was excellent. Now parking, we got a street sweeping ticket at 2 am Sunday but the sign said no parking on Saturday from 12:01 am to 4:00 am. Please alert your other new arrivals and get this issue cleared thru the street sweeping people

Response from the manager Thank you so much for staying with us, we are glad that you enjoyed the home! I wish we would have known about your ticket, we would have definitely contacted parking services for you and explained the situation. We would love to have you back and extend our friends and family discount. Hope to see you soon!

“Wonderful anniversary at Wilkes Pied-a-terre”

Reviewed 25 Nov 2013

This place was lovely. We didn't rent a car and we were able to walk everywhere. We spent the week exploring old Savannah and getting to know the area. We ate at different restaurants every night but opted to make breakfast at 'home' most mornings. Lunch at Mrs Wilkes Boarding House restaurant was amazing. We assumed it would be because of the lines waiting for hours every day. We enjoyed every bit of our stay and the the crew at Lucky Savannah were there for our every need. I would highly recommend!

“Absolutely Perfect”

Reviewed 25 Nov 2013

My husband and I stayed for 4 days in the Wilkes Pied-a-terre in October. We could not possibly have been more thrilled. Everything was absolutely perfect and we will definitely be going back. Everyone was so kind and our lunch downstairs was out of this world. Truly Southern Hospitality!!! The location was perfect and there was nothing I would change about our accomodations. Even the bed was comfy!! The beautiful furnishings and antiques made us feel like we had stepped back in time and made us feel so at home. Just loved it!!!

“Fabulous Southern Comfort!”

Reviewed 27 Mar 2013

We really felt at home in this spacious inviting apartment. Check-in/out was a breeze and we were able to park right in front. Straight shot walk to City Market less than 10 minutes. The owners were very hospitable and tended to our every need! We could hear the beautiful Church Bells ringing! I would have liked to see a total re-do of the kitchen with new appliances, as I am a foodie, but I made do. If your not gonna cook, it doesn't matter.

“Affordable comfort and elegance in the heart of the Savannah His”

Reviewed 8 Mar 2013

Living in one of the most famous landmark residences located on the most beautiful street in Historic Savannah was truly a memorable experience. The Pied-a-terre at Mrs. Wilkes Boarding House gave my wife and I just that opportunity for one full month in February 2013. The newly renovated three room apartment (plus kitchen and bathroom) offered all the modern conveniences without sacrificing any of the old fashion charm. The tasteful decoration and the 12 foot ceilings were a perfect blend of function with form. Talk about location, location, location - we often sat on our front porch watching the horse and carriages clop, clop, clop down the cobblestone street while we planned our day at the Railway Museum, River Street, Forsyth Park, the Broughton Street boutiques or any of the hundreds of restored mansion tours or museums all literally a few minutes walk from our front door. The rental also came with a free meal at the world renowned Mrs. Wilkes Boarding House Kitchen. This experience lived up to its internet hype with a one of a kind southern country smorgasbord that should not be missed by any visitor to Savannah. Guests should be prepared for the daily sounds emanating from the rear of the property as the staff prepares the kitchen for the daily throng of diners, starting at about 8:00 a.m. Monday to Friday. Also be aware that a long line starts to form out front starting at 10:00 a.m. until about 2:00 p.m. We found this daily ritual added to the ambience and charm of the overall experience and actually felt a bit of a loss on the weekends when the restaurant is closed. My wife and I are looking forward already to our return visit next February.
