“It feels like coming home!”

Reviewed 29 Apr 2014

It was my third stay in the Piso Kabi and it was as nice as the times before! Everything is in a prefect condition. As I was there because of my PhD I have to emphasize the calm atmosphere. I like to sit at the large wooden table in the dining room and work there (the free Wifi is very comfortable as well). It is inspiring and looking out of the window with this nice view on the mountainside always makes me really happy. If you need to take time out it is the perfect place for this! And if you need some excitement the city-center is not far-away as well as the beach. With the bus it only takes you some minutes and walking is also a nice opportunity. Beatriz, the manager, is such a lovely person and very helpful! The same is true for Diana, the owner! This flat was indeed a lucky find! Go there and you will love it!

El piso está bien, la relación coste/beneficio es ideal, especialmente para quienes viajan con niños. Recomendable, contar con un coche.

“Amazing!!”

My friends and I stayed at Piso Kabi in the summer and had a great time. The flat is cozy, but spacious enough for five, and very comfortable. There are beautiful views from the kitchen and living room and the whole flat is bathed in light. It's a very quiet neighborhood which was perfect for us after a long and noisy day at the beach and walking around the old part. The kitchen has everything you need--dishes, pots and pans, and even basic supplies like oil and vinegar, salt and pepper, tea and coffee. The beds were comfy and there is a working TV with DVD player in the living room and very fast and reliable wifi. The apartment is a little distance from the center (about 30 minutes walking) but there are buses everywhere and they come often. We mostly walked as it's almost all pedestrianized and downhill to town. We also took advantage of the new Metro stop--about five minutes away, to go to St Jean de Luz (France) for the day as it was only a 30 minute train ride. Beatriz the manager is great--she lent us discount bus and train cards, and the owners were also very easy to communicate with. Really couldn't ask for anything more--if we go back we would stay there again definitely

“very, very good and surprising”

Service Ok. The manager was a good help. The home was perfect for our family, 3 different bed rooms, not so usual. wifi was perfect and we used so much, good help when you are abroad. San Sebastian was a surprise, very very good surprise. We enjoyed so much in San Sebastian. we used car, we used bus. Good vacation to next ones

“We had a relaxing enjoyable stay, and would stay here again”

Apartment was spacious and clean (the lack of a lift made bringing shopping etc. to apartment a bit of a drag!) Located within easy access of Donastia. Owner and manager extremely friendly and accommodating. Plenty of shops, bars etc. in the surrounding area.

“Lovely Piso Kabi in Donostia”

Reviewed 27 Jun 2013

I have been staying at Diana´s apartment for the second time and I had a great time there. The apartment is located in a quiet and pleasant neighbourhood, a bit apart from the city center. However, it takes you only a five-minute bus ride to get to the beach or a 15 minutes-walk. The Piso Kabi is well equipped, the kitchen provides you with everything you need, the wifi is working perfectly and the rooms are very clean and in a good condition. From the living room you have an amazing view to the countryside. I would also recommend this flat warmly to families with children! Diana and her manager are very kind, friendly and caring persons what guarantees an uncomplicated stay in a really nice flat! Thanks for everything - I will return;-)

“Gem!”

A friend and I stayed at this apartment while we did some eating, drinking and walking round the San sebastian area. It's a great location only a short bus ride into the Old Town area. The bus stop is at the bottom of the street and also passes by the beach on the way in. If you fancy burning some of the easily gained San Sebastian induced pounds then a stroll into town is about 20 to 25mins, depending on the route, the cafes/bars you pass along the way. The apartment itself has everything you need. There's local bakery and supermarket right on your doorstep and some very nice friendly little bars in the area for a quiet drink at night. I'd definitely stay here again the next time I'm in San Sebastian.

“A great location with easy access to the centre of San Sebastian”

Reviewed 23 Oct 2012

We stayed in the flat for just over a week and found it a great base from which to explore San Sebastian and the surrounding area. For us, it was a 20 minute walk(all down hill!)to the centre but there are buses and a train station(Intxaurrondo)which go to the town centre and the main station respectively. The flat is comfortable and has wifi. We found the area to be really quiet at night (in a positive way!). There are bars and supermarkets within easy walking distance too. We were met on arrival by the wonderful Beatriz and her son, Ander, who were very a fount of local knowledge & very kind, even helping a lost american tourist we had picked up along the way :) The flat and location suited us both very well, but if you plan to be out every night until the wee small hours, rolling in after a drink too many, you'd be be better off staying in the city centre.

“Seeing San Sebastian from an inner suburb”

Reviewed 11 Sep 2012

We just spent a week staying at Piso Kabi and really enjoyed it as it provided a quiet, peaceful way to get a feel for San Sebastian - Donostia beyond the main tourist attractions (which are great!) Right from our first contact Diana was prompt and efficient with her responses and this was reflected whilst in San Sebastian by the delightful Beatriz who manages the property. The apartment is as described, charming, rustic and peaceful. Transport into the city is easy to access although we most often walked the ~3km into the old town. Nearby were a couple of local bars within ~200m and quite a few more about 7-800m away. We really enjoyed the contrast of living amongst the locals compared to being in the main part of the city. There are about 70 steps to climb from street level (and the steps outside were quite slippery when wet) There were some problems with the water pressure and water heating while we were there but I suspect that these were affected by work that was occurring down the street a little way from the apartment. We would happily stay here again. For info: we visited a few places around the area (all within ~5-15km) that were not on a main tourist agenda. Pasaia Donibane, rustic village on the water's edge with good food options. Mount Ulia, almost in town but with a nice view from albergue Ulia. Mount Jaizkibel for nice walks and great views.

“Another great stay”

Reviewed 20 Aug 2012

This was our third time staying in the apartment and each time things gets better and better. We stayed for two weeks this time and had our 14 month old in tow with us this time and were pleased to find that a baby cot was available for him to sleep in. The apartment has been improved with new furniture and the neighborhood has also made quite a few improvements with a new local train station (great if you are traveling to SS by train), kids playground and a lovely walk that we didn't previously know about. As before, the bus service is excellent. One plus that is not mentioned is that you can plug a USB memory stick into the DVD player and watch movies off of it. I just happened to have a few movies on my laptop and watching them on the TV was a much better experience than watching them on the laptop. Communication with the owner and apartment manager was excellent. We were able to update the apartment manager by text message with our arrival time and she was waiting for us with her son who helped with our luggage.
