Piso Kabi is a charming and rustic three bedroom flat in the historic neighborhood of Intxaurrondo, only minutes away by bus or bicycle from the beaches and vibrant old part of San Sebastian. Located at the end of a cul-de-sac, the flat is in one of the quietest neighborhoods in the city. Enjoy all of the excitement and nightlife of San Sebastian and then retreat to the flat for a good night's sleep, awakening to melodious bird song. PLEASE NOTE: One Week Minimum rental June through Sept. 15th.

Kabi means nest in Basque, and this flat is named so because it is light and airy, surrounded by trees, and has fabulous views of the coastal mountains. From the kitchen and living room you can sit with a glass of wine and enjoy the views of both Mendiola and Jaizkibel. The flat is also perfect for artists and writers looking for a quiet retreat--the light in the flat is calming, and there is a beautiful oak table in the dining area for your laptop or pen and paper.

Kabi is different than the usual luxury rentals of downtown San Sebastian--it is designed for the budget traveler seeking an authentic visit to a traditional Spanish/Basque neighbohood. Shops and bars are within easy walking distance and there are four different buses to take you downtown. You can also bicycle or walk (about 30 minutes) along a pedestrianized pathway, all the way to the beach in Gros. Piso Kabi is also conveniently located for exploring the surrounding countryside; the tren de cercanias (RENFE) is a short walk away.

With all the money you save staying here, you can treat yourself to a wonderful meal at the world famous Arzak restuarant, only a five minute walk from the flat.

Built during the Franco years, Piso Kabi still retains some of its old style charm, with original wooden floors and traditional shutters. The kitchen has been recently renovated and is fully stocked with a microwave, toaster, coffee maker and washing machine. The flat sleeps five comfortably, and has room for more, if needed. There is one double bedroom, and two single bedrooms making it perfect for families with children. There is a playpen/portable crib available for toddlers and babies and one single bedroom also has a fold-out double couch in case two couples would like to visit. You will also find a small collection of books in English and Spanish, and plenty of maps and guide books to help you navigate your way around the region. Our friendly and helpful apartment manager will also be happy to orient you upon your arrival and provide suggestions for restaurants, sights, current events, etc.
