Description

Charming apartment upstairs. Has a full kitchen, dishwasher, breakfast bar, queen size bed/couch,loveseat and complete turn-key for your stay. We are located directly across the street from the Lighthouse Outlet Mall. This mall has 120 stores, great shopping, people come from all over the country to shop. If you stay with us you will have an apartment, not just a room. This home was built in 1900, 10 years ago we bought it, it has new plumbing, electric, kitchens,baths, central heat & air and roof. We still have the old wood floors, high ceilings,gables, arches, stairs and the Victorian style. We have had a lot of fun decorating and making each apartment special. If the want the romantic get away, we suggest thered apartment (see pictures). The 2 bedroom is great for families. The apartment upstairs has an island kitchen that is very popular. We do have blow up beds for the kids,if needed. The studio is cozy, large kitchen, but no living room. Great for singles or couples. We are pet friendly, on approval, just ask. We do have one apartmentthat has Never had pets, just in case you have allergies. There are 4 apartments, we have a large porch to read or have coffee, we have smart TVs and WiFi and a picnictable in the yard. You can walk to the Uptown Art District 2 blocks, lots of restaurants,shops, bike rentals 1blk away, Sat. morning market, a theatre mid June to the end of Aug. the beach is less than a mile, the Zoo and Washington Park, even a brewery. Washington Park has fabulous concerts mid June to end of Aug. Thur. night 7:30 and they are Free. Beautiful churches, Barker Mansion tours, Lighthouse Museum, boating, fishing, swimming, Splash Park, golfing, Dunes State Park and the Blue Chip Casino. Really, lots to do and a great place to stay. We hope you stay with us.

Getting around

Washington and Franklin lead you to the lake area and up town. We are about 3 blk from Franklin. 1 mile to beach ( Washington Park Beach) has restaurant, bathrooms, parking, pier, lighthouse, marina, zoo, splash park and Free music on Thursday night 7:30. Feel like going into Chicago for the day? Walk to the South Shore train (11 and Franklin) about 1:45 min train ride taking you right into the heart of Chicago last stop Millennium Station. Hwy 12 will take you to New buffalo Mi. about 12 mile go east and Hwy 12 will take you to Dune State Park.
