“Great location, great owners and a great place to stay!”
My husband, my brother and I all stayed here for 5 nights during Wrestlemania week. We had to be at several different locations at different times (Superdome, Smoothie King Center, etc.) during our vacation and this condo was just a few minutes drive from everything! Very cool neighborhood with a lot of great restaurants in walking distance that we enjoyed while we were there too. The neighborhood was safe and quiet. Garett and Megan were great hosts and even offered us a local beer when we arrived. We all agreed that the next time we visit New Orleans, we would love to stay here again. It was actually more affordable than most of the New Orleans hotels and a lot more personal. I highly recommend staying here!
My stay at the Uptown Cottage was wonderful! Garett and his wife were very welcoming, friendly, and outgoing. It was a very comfortable atmosphere! They were extremely nice! When we arrived Garett saved a parking spot for us (so nice of him). The place was clean, fresh fruit was provided, they gave us some party hats for St. Patty's day, and they even gave us champagne as a gift because they knew my roommates and I were graduating college. The home had everything we needed: kitchen supplies, comfortable bed and pull-out couch, towels, little music system, and more. Everything there is updated and new! The location was awesome too! There were plenty of restaurants near us (go to the midway and dat dog - both were delicious!). Garett and his wife had a list of recommendations to explore. We enjoyed every recommendation we decided to do. And on top of it all - it was a very fair price! I definitely want to go back some day! My only complaint is that they didn't have cable, which wasn't a big deal at all. We were out for most of the day, but it would have been nice to have during lunch breaks and before bed.
Response from the owner Thanks for the great review! Great guest that we would love to have back. We don't have cable but do have HD Flatscreen TV with HDTV digital antennas that get over 20 stations!
“Great location, very clean & friendly owners...”
I travel to New Orleans with work every 6-8 weeks and prefer to stay in a corporate rental. My regular place was booked so I was forced to find something new. Garett and his wife were very friendly and accommodating. The cottage is basically brand new with all of the comforts of home. The neighborhood has some great restaurants & bars as well. You will not be disappointed. I will definitely be back.
“Wonderful place to stay!”
Garett and Meagan were fantastic hosts. Their place was immaculate with fresh flowers on the tables and plenty of space for a one bedroom. I could not have expected to stay with nicer people. The neighborhood had a lot of great food and drinks to offer and is walking distance to Tulane, Loyola and audubon park.
Everything went great and was as described on the listing. The owner was so kind, they left a list of things to do on the coffee table. And this list was right on the money. This location is in walking distance to lots of restaurants and bars. Per the owners list of things to do, my wife and I walked down Carrollton ave to a quaint authentic Italian restaurant down the street called Vincents. Such a great restaurant and neighborhood. On our way, we passed many bars and restaurants and the coolest was the streetcar passing us by. And its only one block from this house.
