“Rooms with a spectacular view!!”

Reviewed 21 Mar 2017

A truly wonderful facility. The condo living spaces were very comfortable and well furnished as was the kitchen. The beds and bed linens were amazing. The bathrooms were immaculate and well-maintained. BUT most impressive was the wall of windows that faced RMNP. A more stunning view I have never seen without making a good hike up a mountain. Sunsets dropped our jaws. The $175 cleaning fee seems a bit excessive. The condo is only 4 rooms and 2 bathrooms. But all in all, a great way to spend spring break.

Response from the manager We are so glad you enjoyed your stay with us! You hit the nail on the head - our cleaning cost is at the high-end of the market, but so is the quality linens, towels, supplies and cleanliness of properties - not to mention that view which you mentioned! Thank you. We can't wait for you to stay with us again! - Rich & the staff at

This our winter retreat. We have stayed there 4 times and just enjoy the quiet and solitude. It is homey and comfortable. We look forward to next year.

Response from the manager Thanks for choosing Windcliff for your FIFTH mountain getaway in as many years, roganddmg! Our former guests like you represent more than 2/3s of our guest stays year after year! What a joy to have you back again and again.

“What a view!”

Reviewed 12 Aug 2016

The view was spectacular! The condo had everything we needed, even laundry detergent. It is quite a drive to get to, but well worth it. We had a wonderful time!

Response from the manager Thanks so much for your great review. The drive to Rell is about 7 minutes from the entrance to Windcliff Estates. The reason why our views are so awesome is that Windcliff resides on Ram's Horn Mountain and we up high enough to catch the full panorama of the Rockies. Please come back again soon!

“Can't beat the location!”

It was a beautiful property. However 4 stars due to it being dated. Plus master was a bit musty. However the views were terrific! the management company was easy to work with! Perfect location to RMNP.

“Couldn't Ask For More”

The views can not be topped. Enjoy seeing Long's Peak and surrounding mountains and even a few elk from the deck while grilling after a long day of hiking. Kitchen is very well equipped with every appliance you could imagine. Master bed was very comfy. WiFi and Direct TV worked perfectly, the little time we used it. From the highway this property is about a 9 minute drive with incredible views. Can be warm in the summer afternoon but house has several fans to help with that. We had a wonderful time and if the opportunity arises we would certainly rent the Rell property again!

“Relaxing and Beautiful Get-Away”

Reviewed 20 Mar 2016

Our Spring Break took us to Estes Park and RMNP. We weren't sure of weather, what we would be able to see or do this time of year. The weather turned out to be perfect (40's - 50's) the 2 days we explored RMNP and staying at Rell at Windcliff made our vacation even more relaxing and wonderful! The views out the condo far exceeded our expectations and our son who's hobby is photography loved it! Even with snow on the 3rd day, the beauty didn't disappoint! The condo was fully supplied with everything we could have needed and then some. It was comfortable and cozy, much better than any hotel could have offered. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! A perfect Spring Break vacation!

“Rell condo in Windcliff”

Reviewed 20 Oct 2014

Rell had a fantastic view of Rocky Mountain National Park from the picture windows in the living room, dining room and both bedrooms. We loved seeing that view each morning and again in the evening when we watched the sun set behind the Rockies. The furniture was very comfortable and the kitchen contained everything we needed. We saw mule deer and elk throughout the Windcliff properties. We were there in mid/late September and even though most nights got down into the 30s, we were never cold enough to try out the huge living room fireplace. Our last day at Rell was in the upper 70s with a clear blue sky and an intense afternoon sun beating against the entire condo length of windows. Before we left for hiking that morning, we had pulled the blinds and pleated shades on the picture windows (the dining room window only had the sheer pleated shade and no blind behind it) down to the top of the open windows underneath, left the ceiling fan on in the living room and had the kitchen and bathroom windows open. When we returned in the late afternoon, the condo was stifling and remained that way until later that evening. The ceiling fan in the living room helped that room to cool down as soon as the sun set. Installing ceiling fans in the dining room and bedrooms would help to keep the air circulating during the day. That was the only uncomfortable day we had during our 5 night stay at Rell. Since the unit does not have air conditioning, I would not recommend staying in this condo during the summer months. I'm sure it would be wonderful to stay at Rell during the winter months to have a breathtaking view of snow covered Rocky Mountain National Park and to enjoy the fireplace.

“By far the best accommodations”

Reviewed 1 Nov 2013

This property provided the best retreat for our first father-son road trip vacation. My son and I spent 3 days here and the accommodations contributed to making this one of the best trips we ever took. Coming back after a day of hiking and exploring, the house had everything we needed. Waking up to the views from each of the bedrooms is simply amazing. The house was clean, well decorated and made us feel at home-away-from-home. This was a mid-point stop for us and after leaving to continue on our trip, we had wished we stayed a few days longer. We will return to Estes Park and without a doubt will look to stay here again.

“Beautfully furnished, comfortable home with amazing views!”

Reviewed 23 Sep 2013

This was our second visit to Rell, and it was as wonderful as the first. The house is beautifully furnished with all the amenities you could want. I love having a washer and dryer, and the instant hot water in the kitchen is a nice touch. Loved the baskets of snacks to get us started. Though they promise any spices, there was a nice selection, probably left behind by former guests. So don't buy spices until you've been to the house and see what they have. Love that there is WiFi to keep me connected, and they're right--cell service is spotty at best. But they have free local and us long distance which is nice. You are close to Rmnp and Estes Park for all your sightseeing activities, but it's also a great place to just kick back and relax. Finally, love the customer service Windcliff Properties provides. When we first walked in the house, there was a nice note welcoming us back and a lovely souvenir wooden box container a box of chocolates. Nice touch! I don't think you can find a better place to stay in Estes Park. You definitely won't find better mountain views.
