“Lovely charm in French countryside”
My friend and I stayed here two nights and got excellent service! It's far out so make sure you get the correct address from Denis. The address on the main page is not the address of where you are staying. Besides that small glitch, we made. The food is excellent! I highly suggest dining in the evening. It's a four course meal for only €20. It's nice to have a homemade and delicious meal during a long stint of traveling. Denis is very helpful with guiding you to fun places and also has handy maps. Also, take a walk around the village. The people are so friendly! Thank you again, Denis and Patrick, for a lovely few days...and for the recipe!
“We would love to return in the future!”
We, a family of four (mom, dad, and two girls 10 and 8), stayed at Taillepieds in July, 2016 for 6 nights. Patrick was a fantastic host! We didn't get to see Denis much because he was away for a family gathering. Patrick was very helpful in many different ways and we very much enjoyed the dinner he prepared for us the first night of out stay. I felt as if I was visiting a good friend who was happy to have us at his house. We would love to stay at Taillepieds again in the future if our travels bring us back the Brittany area. Merci beaucoup, Patrick et Denis!
“Wow! Wow! wow!!!”
Denis and Patirick are the consummate hosts. We felt at home from the minute we got there. Our accommodations were very clean, spacious and comfortable. The decor of each room is based on Museum Projects Patrick has done. The common areas are available to you at all times (and so is coffee or tea). We spent several evenings in the .living room enjoying wine, snacks, and the company of other guests. Don't bother to go to a restaurant for dinner. Denis and Patrick are excellent cooks. Meals highlight traditional Brittany foods ( Gallettes, Crepes, Lamb, Pork and Salmon) and they will accommodate special needs. Meals also include wine and cidre. You won't leave the table hungry. Meal time is like being with your family as you enjoy the conversing with your hosts and other guests. It is located so that you can tour Brittany and Normandy and your hosts will help with touring info and recommendations We would recommend this B & B to anyone
“Surprisingly comfortable, accommodating, and authentic experienc”
Denis and Patrick provided first class service. The meals were wonderful and authentic! We loved the family atmosphere that we experienced while staying in this rustic home, especially during mealtime with ours hosts and the other guests. The home was clean and comfortable and the rooms were decorated beautifully. The rural setting was especially beautiful. The location was perfect for us to visit many points of interest. Denis and Patrick were extremely helpful. The interesting company, the rustic setting and authentic food at dinner time made our stay memorable.
“Very nice location to discouver the aerea of St. Malo and Mont S”
We were there with our two kids (3 and 6) for 3 nights to discover the area of St. Malo and Mont St. Michel. First we were a bit afraid of the distance to these locations, but it turned out not to be a topic at all. You have the advantage then, if you see also spots in the south. The cottage is really nice and cosy. Breakfast was very good. The owners Denis and Patric are very amiable and easy going.
“The perfect retreat in the French countryside”
Thia place surpassed all my expectations. Beautiful location, great updated rooms, home-cooked family style dinners...it all felt so homey and relaxing. Great experience!
What a lovely, beautiful, amazing getaway. After several weeks in the city, it was the perfect place to come. Denis and Patrick were so nice and welcoming and the dinners were delicious. Not a lot of places to go for dinner nearby plus their meals are amazing so I would encourage you to include dinner in the deal. The rooms all have a world theme and are very comfortable. Two thumbs up.
“Clean Good food Caring servise”
Clean Good food Caring servise.a little hard to find but that could be a good thing
“Very enjoyable stay at a french cottage”
We stayed 2 nights while we were travelling mont-saint-michel. Denis and Patrick kindly prepared a baby bed for my 2-year old niece and she loved it. Each room has a character and was so clean. We liked simple breakfast with the home-made pies and jams. They are also very helpful for us to find good restaurants near-by. We really enjoyed our stay and could have relaxing time there. The only problem was location. We thought it was located in mont-saint-michel, but was approximately 30 minutes drive from the cottage. It was not easy to find the place on the first day. However, because of the same reason it was the first time I saw such many stars and it was so calm at night. I think this is just perfect for family who wants a place to stay for quiet and relaxing vacation.
“Lovely place to stay”
My boyfriend and I arrived later than expected, but Denis was right there to greet us, show us our room, and make sure that we had all that we needed. You can see yourself how lovely the rooms are from the photos, and our room really lived up to what I expected. The bed was oh so comfortable. Though we were only two, there were two other single beds in the room that would have made for a perfect family vacation (kids separated, but all included in one very large room). Denis spoke with us in the morning, giving us tips on the things we wanted to do afterward (which small cities are better visiting than others, etc.) when to go, and even where to find free parking. Plus they have all the pamphlets you could need... I am getting long winded, but the breakfast was delicious (i wish we had eaten dinner there!), the room was absolutely lovely, and the host was as warm as I could have ever asked. Great stay. One caveat, you definitely need a car to get there...
