- Very Good
I stayed for 4 days to visit my daughter and grandson. The suite is very well decorated and the kitchen is adequate. The stove is also very quaint. Franco brought down some toys for my grandson to play with-much appreciated. It is in a lovely neighborhood and is also very convenient. All in all, a very pleasant stay. Will be back
“Perfect home away from home!”
We were so fortunate to find such a perfect place to stay while in Vancouver! The location couldn't have been better with easy access to the sky train and walking distance to The Drive. The house was very nicely decorated and had all the amenities we were looking for. It was absolutely perfect for our little family of three! Thank you very much for everything! “quiet and lovely neighbourhood”
Suite Dreams truly provided the much needed sweet dreams for us, a couple with two small children. We were all jet lagged and appreciated a self-catered comfortable place where we could be up all hours or sleep in whenever we wanted. The kids were happy to play in the backyard and the beautiful fall weather permitted lots of long walks in the lovely neighbourhood. Also, we were lucky to catch the last Farmers' market of the season at nearby Trout Lake, full of colourful people and even more colourful produce! Though we didn't meet Devorah until the day we checked out (she was travelling) she made sure she was in touch via email during our stay too. And she was most helpful when, a couple weeks later, we showed up again to search for a little teddy bear that had gone lost... we found him! Thanks for a lovely stay.
they were very good about getting in touch to make sure we were looked after.this suite is actually better than the pictures on line .we had all the facilities that we needed.the location close to the skytrain means you dont need a car .we certainly would reccommend this to anyone looking for good value forthe money
“Delightful little cottage feel”
We had a lovely time at this cheery and well stocked rental in Vancouver. It was relaxing to spend time reading in the garden and has very peaceful surroundings. We rented this place at the last minute and the hosts were accommodating and made it easy. Commercial drive is a long walk away from the unit but we spent a good deal of time in that area. Trout lake is also a wonderful park and nearby. We also hiked Lynn Canyon on the North shore, which was surprisingly close by car. We would rent again!
Response from the owner Sue, I'm so glad you enjoyed your short stay in our suite. Commercial Drive is a 10 minute walk from the house, but "The Drive" is a fairly long street and it appears far if you reach the top and need to walk all the way back as we live closer to the southern end of it. Thank you again and I look forward to seeing you again on a future visit.
“Nice place to stay when visiting Vancouver”
My family had good time in Vancouver by staying in this "Suite Dreams", Devorah is very kind to give us advice on the bus station, grocery shops etc., it is in a very convenient location also in a quiet street. And the room is well kept, you can have almost everything like at home. I definately recommend you to choose this room when visiting Vancouver for the reasons of "value for money", "kind landlord", "convenient location" The only suggestion I like to give Devorah is to open the windows often and ventilate room before guests arriving. “Terrific "home base" for exploring Vancouver”
Our family had the pleasure of staying at Suite Dreams in Vancouver and are happy to report that it more than lived up to the other reviews. It was a terrific home base for us to explore the city and nearby locations. It starts with the convenient and quiet location in a nice residential area. The suite is just a short (and pleasant) walk to Commercial Drive, which has dozens of restaurants, groceries, and shops. It is also the location of a SkyTrain station, which will take you into the central city or many other areas for minimal cost. If you don't plan to leave the primary metro area, you likely won't need a car. However, if your plans include travel to nearby areas (e.g., Whistler), the location east of downtown provides quick access to major highways without having to deal with the gridlock of the business district/waterfront. The auite itself is a well-kept and nicely decorated basement apartment in a neighborhood of beautiful older homes with mature landscaping and gardens. Since the basement is garden-level with a private entry, it offers plenty of light and privacy. The hospitable owners allow guests to use their parklike backyard, which makes it like you are staying at a friend's house. The neighborhood is very quiet, and we always felt safe walking around with our family (just watch out for fast-moving bicycle commuters on the bike path near the pedestrian walkway to Commercial Drive!). Assuming this location works for you, the only potential drawback is that the suite is in a basement, which means somewhat low ceilings. Since this is clearly stated in the listing, it should not come as a surprise. This leads to the last point, which is the overall accuracy of the listing and the straightforward dealings with the owner. Everything was advertised (or better), and the owner was both businesslike in her handling of all aspects of the transaction and quite helpful in setting out informational materials. Highly recommended property!
“Good value, convenient location for public transport and great a”
The apartment was clean, spacious, beds comfortable, kitchen had all appliances one needed plus hair dryer, iron and board. It's a 10 minute enjoyable, flat walk to the sky train and buses, also in the same area too numerous to mention, supermarket, farmers shops, cafes, boutiques, pubs etc. Laundrette nearby also. We were able to visit Stanley Park, Grouse Mountain, Granville Island, University of British Columbia within the 90 minutes time limit of using a ticket easily.
Within walking distance to a major transit hub and trendy shopping/restaurant district. The suite was clean and located in a quiet neighbourhood. Would stay here again!
“Pretty and Peaceful!”
This apartment was very cute, very clean and very conveniently located close to groceries and the Skytrain. Bonuses: The Wifi worked great, and there were coffee, tea, sugar, shampoo and towels available. Plus, the owner was very kind! I would recommend this place without hesitation.
