“Absolutely Beautiful!”

Reviewed 19 Jul 2016

The pictures truly do not do this place any justice. What a beautiful home and what an amazing view! You feel as if you are completely segregated from the world but still so close to everything. You will need a 4x4 vehicle to make it to the house but it is absolutely worth it! The house is primarily made of glass so you can see the view from anywhere in the house. My fiancé hates being woken up by light and usually needs the darkest of curtains to not be in a bad mood but even he was happy to wake up to that view. Luis, the house caretaker was very helpful, we had some issues arriving on time and even then he was so nice and understanding. This place is paradise, I highly recommend staying here. Trust me, you will not regret it!

“Fabulous location & villa”

Reviewed 19 Apr 2014

We arrived after a stunning scenic drive through acres of palms and picturesque villages alongside a meandering river. Expecting disappointment after such a start, we braced ourselves; a steep climb and we reached a narrow ridge. As the ridge broadened out the villa revealed itself, rendering us speechless. A stunning location: sea views; cradled sides and rear with mist-shrouded mountain rainforest peaks. Luis, the manager a loyal friend of the owner, is one of a kind. He was discretion itself, sometimes walking up to service the pool at five am, before working on the family farm. The villa is a curved structure framed in glass; a central atrium topped by a massive overhanging roof bringing shade to the huge curved terraces gracing the large master suits on the first floor. All glass, with stunning 360 degree views. The curved horizon pool includes a set of canals into the atrium and traversed by a wooden bridge. After an extensive shop we settled into the villa and didn't move till it was time to leave. We never felt safer or more in love with a place. Lastly, more about Luis: he is Eden Estate - approaching all aspects of his job with dedication to make your stay memorable. Nothing is too much trouble. One morning he arrived with a beautifully-attired horse: one of the many wild horses roaming the estate, captured, tamed and trained by locals for Luis. "A surprise!" he exclaimed. Having never mounted a horse in my life I did have some reservations. But, we enjoyed this quiet steed as Luis walked her gracefully around the grounds. After that we became friends and he regaled us with stories of family life past and present; his travels to the us, South america and his dreams for the future. Booking was easy, the directions superb and, all in all, Steve (the owner) was very keen to make sure that we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. Recommended for a peaceful vacation, yet within easy reach of the Central Pacific coast and the Manuel antonio area.

“Ultimate Destination”

We recently stayed at Eden Estate and were completely blown away by the property in all respects. Incredible house and I can't begin to say how unbelievable the views are in all directions. The house is so modern with amazing amenities; the balconies and pool are to die for. The house sits above the properties 60 acre rainforest, which has trails to explore and rivers that we swam in. There are Blue Morpho butterflies everywhere and when you sit up at the house, eagles and other birds of prey are constantly soaring around you. We saw Toucans and parrots in the mornings around the house and ate papaya from a tree on the property. The house is completely private, so no issues with noises other than that from nature which is everywhere. I have never experienced such a luxurious space in such a beautiful setting, The road in is actually excellent and everything in the house worked perfectly during our week long stay. Easy access to everything in the area; perfect location. The property is immaculately taken care of by a wonderful costa rican man who speaks perfect English and looked after us better than we could have imagined. We really appreciated the information the owner provided in advance and took advantage of many recommendations. An incredible stay at an unbelievable property, will definitely be back.

“Incredible location and house”

Need a good 4x4 to get to the house, but it's well worth it. This is unlike any other house we have stayed in. Modern designed home with beautiful pool, nice bedrooms, laundry, and amazing grounds. Only suggestions are that the house needs some comfortable furniture and the oven didn't work. No phone, Satellite TV, or Internet so it's a nice place to get away for a while. Access to all the tourist attractions requires a bit of driving, but it's worth it.

“Totally Exceeded Our Expectations”

We just spent two weeks at this truly amazing house. The landscaping and the view is truly remarkable and is a must see to experience the awesome feeling of being so close to nature. There was six of us and the house is more than comfortable for that many people. The house is very unique and very inviting. You are close enough to all activities that you want to take in and then can get away from the very busy areas and relax in the beautiful pool with such an extraordinary view at the house. Very close to great food, we had a party at the house with a local chef and the food was awesome and very affordable. Renting a car is easy and the roads are good. There is an extremely nice and capable young man that cares for the house that will set you up with anything you need or want to do. Staying at this property will be like nothing you have ever experienced. We all agreed this was the best vacation and location we have ever been to. Cannot wait to make this trip again! Highly recommend this for all ages.

“Paradise in a jungle”

We just returned from Costa Rica and this house was everything we were hoping for and much more! Pictures here don't do it justice to the property. The view from the house is breathtaking and the house is stunning!!! If you are looking for a secluded place away from roads and people, just to enjoy the nature and your family/friends - this is the perfect spot. You can even ask the property manager to arrange a cook to come over and cook for you local meals - we enjoyed those meals as much as the local restaurants, so would definitely recommend it if you don't feel like cooking or going out for a lunch/dinner. We've traveled quite a bit and this property is truly unique. We enjoyed it so much, we're already planning when we are going to come back:)

“Indescribable!!!”

I have been to Eden Estates 3 times and would not dream of staying anywhere else. I loved the choice of being remote, or getting in my car and being only 25 min. away from the most popular tourist attractions in CR. The 1st time I stayed at Eden Estates, I experienced all the tourist attractions. Now, however, I like to go to get away from the world. I have done a lot of travelling in my life and I don't know where else in the world you can go to see such incredible views and experience such tranquility. Such tranquility yet so alive! I enjoyed watching distance lightning storms and I already miss the misty mornings. Sometimes, if I awoke in the middle of the night, I was amazed at the light of the moon. It gets dark early in Costa Rica but no need to worry, the early sunsets are gorgeous. Sadly, most of the beauty at Eden Estates cannot be captured on camera. It has to be experienced in person. I am so impressed that the people have such great respect for the life in the forest and that they completely accept that they live in the animals' world and not the other way around. If you are open to learning, the Costa Ricans are most happy to educate you with respect to the animals and the vegetation in the forest. As a result, I am no longer scared. I now know that nothing will hurt me and in fact, most things run away from me. Once you realize that, the creatures become very interesting and bring yet another unbelievable experience to your vacation. The house itself is immaculate and very well kept. It has every amenity you have at home and the caretakers are most anxious to make you feel comfortable and to help you with your every need. I am looking forward to visiting Eden Estates again in 2013.
